Bought this little guy because it was beautiful and small. I wanted a smaller pot for when I have little nieces and nephews over who don't drink much at once. It was a very pleasant surprise when I tested it and it's pouring action was absolutely perfect. Not. A. Single. Drip. None. No matter how many times I poured. Now I'm miffed at some of my other pots when they didn't really offend me before.Great strainer. It's the perforated stainless with very tiny holes.

Small teapots for only one mug of tea are very hard to find but this one is about perfect!As stated in the product description at the top of the page, it will hold about 16 oz. without overflowing, but the strainer that holds the loose tea is deep enough that the teapot also works with about 12 to 14 oz. of water, which is about right for one mug of tea allowing that the tea leaves will absorb some water. (It would probably also work for two small teacups but I use a larger mug.) The stainless steel strainer has many very tiny openings, so no residue in your tea, and the water flow through it is good. I did swirl the pot a bit after I added the boiling water, as I always do. Of course if using a teabag instead of loose tea the strainer would not be needed, but then I'd likely just brew it in my cup. I like the included strainer as I have a lot of loose teas and this makes it easier to use them.The little teapot is lovely with a subtle crackle pattern, including on the lid, spout, and handle. I have the sky blue one and it's a beautiful medium sky blue as shown in the product info. I removed the cord that attaches the lid because when I was hand washing it the lid tended to bump against the pot or sink if I didn't hold both parts in my hands, making it awkward. With the cord wet I was able to remove it from both parts without cutting it, so it can be reattached if I change my mind. The cord is a cute and unique addition but I don't want to chip a dangling lid if I wash it by hand. It's also dishwasher safe.(Don't put any ceramic or china teapot on the stovetop, of course. Boil the water in something else before adding it to the teapot. It's not a tea kettle. This should go without saying but in reading reviews of teapots sometimes this is a "complaint.")It happily came packaged very well (which is not always the case with amazon), in foam inside its own factory box, with another outer amazon box so it arrived with no damage. (I may have requested the outer amazon box when I placed the order.) There was no extra cushioning inside the amazon box, though, but no harm done.Very pleased to find this pretty, small size teapot with its own strainer!

Turned out a bit smaller than I anticipated. Holds about a cup and a half of tea. Very cute and colour is nice, but only good for one person
