Inventive face cards. Great graphics. My husband instantly put them in his massive Star Trek collection.

I have several Theory 11 collector cards, all are pretty good. This might be my favorite. Each face card has a rendering of the original cast character and the reboot film series cast character. Makes the cards very interesting.

The cards are obviously high quality but given how expansive the source material is, their choice to limit the characters and designs to just the ones depicted in the original series AND the alternate timeline of the Star Trek franchise leaves me wanting more. Perhaps they should stick to just one series at a time for future iterations.

The designs on these are very fun. The box itself is pretty enough to leave out on display, too.For those curious about what characters are depicted: these cards feature the main seven (Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Scott, Uhura, Sulu, Chekov) and then had room for Pike, Una, Amanda, Carol Marcus, and Khan. Each face card features the character as they appeared in TOS, and when it flipped upside down has them as they appeared in the reboot movies. The exceptions are Una, who only has a TOS image, and Khan, who appears as he did in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (as opposed to how he was in TOS: "Space Seed".) The elder Amanda is in one of her "Journey to Babel" dresses.Sadly they didn't find a way to work in Nurse Chapel, Yeoman Rand, Gary Mitchell, M'Benga, Keenser, M'Ress or Arex. Or Sarek, for that matter. Some of the choices seem a bit strange (Chekov as the King of Clubs) but others are expected (Uhura as the Queen of Hearts).Nitpick: McCoy's eye color is blue on both the TOS (DeForest Kelley) and '09 Trek (Karl Urban) side of the card. This mistake is not repeated on the Kirk or Chekov cards, where the Shatner and Koenig likenesses have dark eyes, and the Pine and Yelchin likenesses have blue eyes.I couldn't bring myself to take off a whole star for that, so, five stars.

I gave these to my husband as a gift. They were high quality cards and he was very impressed. The colors were bright and vibrant, true to the pictures on the listing. And they were cleverly designed, especially the face cards and Aces. Highly recommend!
