I ordered this out of the dozen+ choices on Amazon b/c they claimed the weight to be 'about 171g'. Well, it was 193g (22g, ~13% difference. That's a big gap and no longer fits my 'ultra lite' build. Most brands indicate a weight and +/- range of 10g. I would not have purchased this if it was more accurately advertised.

This seatpost is definitely worth the price, it's lightweight compared to my original aluminum seatpost by nearly 96grams, it's more comfortable because of it's carbon fiber material absorption hence can't go wrong with this buy!

First, this seat post comes from China so be prepared to wait several weeks for it to arrive. I ordered the 27.2mm 350mm version. I immediately weighed it upon arrival at 189.37 grams. I had to cut off about 5 inches because it was too high for me on my medium (18) Proflex. 856. I bought this to shed a few grams on my mountain bike. Ironically my old aluminum seat post was only about 20 grams heavier so I'm not sure this was a worthwhile endeavor. I do not like the clamp design/mechanism to the seat rails. Very difficult to adjust as one of the 2 allen bolts holding the seat rails is virtually inaccessible. I found this very difficult to deal with. All in all I am pleased with this so far. I have not taken it for a ride yet but it seems to fit the frame's seat tube well. At this point, I think it is a reasonably good value. Just be prepared to become frustrated with the clamping mechanism.

The big flaw is that its too thick. I could not fit it in my 31.6mm seatpost frame. My old 31.6mm seatpost fits just fine. I marked where I set the post at the collar and taped off the top section. I then wet sanded down the bottom section. Once I removed all of the gloss finish and markings and got down to just the carbon then the post fit perfect. Not ideal for anyone who wants to change their post height after installing or move it to another bike.Other then that it's very nice. Mine came in at 208 grams. Head is easy to adjust and it looks sturdy and has a wonderful finish. Beautiful post at at dirt cheap price if you don't mind sanding it down.
