The frosted finish on these lights make it so they have a warm glow while not being harsh on the eyes. I placed these in a dark basement rec room behind a tv to provide a warm glow. Initially hung in a temporary way, it's clear these will be perfect when it's finished fully. I leave mine "on" always and pair them with a smart plug so I can keep them out of sight, and remotely operated, but the inline switch has a nice tactile feel to it. These lights are good and bright, really lighting up the room without being too harsh or disrupting the TV experience.

These lights are extremely bright. I plan to set these up under our closet cabinets and turn on with motion sensors. It has a great uniform light and you can't see the bulbs of lights when these are on. These are perfect for that glow of light when it is dark. Great that it can also be used outdoors if I need it.

Got these for use in my winter car shelter. The are nice and bright. I connected them to an external remote switch, and I can turn the lights on from my phone as I approach my driveway. They are outdoors, but under a protective shelter, so they may get a little water, but nothing major.The LED strip may be waterproof, but the switch itself is exposed, and is NOT waterproof itself, so you should protect it from the elements.Maybe next winter I will add a motion sensor to power the lights upon motion detection.
