I wished there were a few more to this kit but it worked out. For my standard basic tub I used 5 across twice in the middle area (two rows of 5) and 4 on each end. They run lengthwise to the drain.I was going to do them perpendicular but worried about any small amount of water pooling up & not draining. That's for the over-thinkers out there :)

These strips were easy to install and are almost invisible on the shower floor. The strips provide the additional friction we were looking for for our 93-year-old mother. Now we will see how well they hold up.

I used a little vinegar and warm water to scrub the bottom of the tub prior to laying down the strips. Also made sure it was perfectly dry before moving onI purchased The clear strips so the picture doesn’t show up all that wellI followed the 24 hour wait period To get wet. I was tired of bathmats. There were stained continuously by the hard water where I live.So far it’s been a month and had no issues work very well. Feel safe standing up in the tub, but I do always hang onto a bar - age

As others have said, these are essentially invisible once installed. They really do exactly what they need to do and the process is completely easy. I would caution one one thing though — they are rough. This is not like a squishy suction mat feel on your skin. And that doesn’t bother me at all when showering. But taking a bath? It’s extremely uncomfortable on your butt and legs. I ended up taking a couple out of the tub and using fewer, otherwise bathing would be too uncomfortable.

Even though the floor of my shower has a slight texture, it is very slippery so I had to be very careful! The message for these strips was that they needed a smooth surface, but I thought I would try them anyway. If they did not work it would only be my fault.I first scrubbed the shower floor with Comet and a scrub brush and rinsed it very well. I then wiped it with rubbing alcohol. I put the strips where I wanted them before I took off the backing. I placed them about 2 inches apart to be sure there would not be a chance of slipping. Then I took off the backing of each strip (one at a time) and put it in position using the included tool.So far they work great! They are adhering, are easy on the feet, are invisible and I don't slip! I ordered only one set because part of my shower space is taken by a shower seat so the strips are not needed there. If you have a large shower you might want to purchase 2 sets to make sure the floor is well covered.
