The large size fits my aquaclear 20 intake. Originally I bought the small but had to return it for this one

My 20 gallon tank has guppies which are continuously breeding. I had a sponge over the intake tube of my HOB filter originally, but wanted something less likely to clog from the detritus in the tank. This little cage works perfectly, and easy to just brush off if I feel there is too much plant matter, etc over the cage.

The idea is great and very well made. But it's a must to know what filter it fits on. I both two in two different sizes and neither fits. Had to be returned, and went with pre filter sponges instead.

It was poor quality. Dementions were wrong and it bent and didnt fit like the description. Would not purchase again.

It fit the eheim 16mm intake without issue, direct replacement for strainer. However, if sharp edges are a concern, the inner lips are a bit sharper than some would like, but may be adequate for others. Put a rubber band around it if that is an issue.My only real complaint was the shipping envelope which didn't protect it from being smashed, but undamaged. Still, it would have been nice to arrive in it's intended shape.
