This thing gets hot if you need it to, and doesn’t take too long to warm up. The controller is easy to use. No memory function, so it lost 1 star. Decent size and good quality materials.

Full disclosure, my cat does not love this heating pad. I think he gets overheated even at the lowest setting of 80F...?? Who knows... That said, this pad has a ton of awesome features! The LCD screen makes setting the temperature and time super easy. There's an auto shutoff so you don't have to worry about it going on for too long. The covered cord is a very nice bonus for those of us with chewers! It starts to warm up very fast. My only tiny complaint is that the settings reset every time it shuts off. So if your fur baby has a preferred setting, you'll have to press through the settings each time. Also! The first time I tried it, I thought it wasn't working. There's a line in the manual that says you have to put your hand on it for it to heat up to set temperature (??). This confused me, so I did some digging. From what I understand, the mat heats up to the set temperature under pressure, i.e. If fur baby is not on it, it will not reach the set temperature. This is actually an AMAZING feature!! But for some reason it's not explicitly stated...? My kitty doesn't like it, but I'm going to hold on to it in case he changes his mind one day. (As he often does...)✓ Protected cord saves it from chewing✓ LCD display is easy to use✓ Can set temperature up to 130F✓ Can set timer up to 24 hours✓ Auto shutoff✓ Cute removeable cover with bones✓ Starts to warm pretty fast!✓ 18x18 good size for 15lb cat who likes to curl up× No memory for last settings??? Pressure-sensitive feature makes you think it's not working!

So I got this for both my cats and my dog. We have three cats and one medium breed dog. All of them love to lay on it. I will occasionally keep this inside my dogs kennel as well for when it gets cold at night. She actually has no problem falling asleep on this thing. It never gets too warm to the point that you feel like it’s gonna catch on fire either. The corn is caught up in metal as well as insulation, which makes it extremely tough to break. That’s just a nice added bonus so they don’t shock themselves. Overall, though I’m definitely recommend for the price. I should also mention that the cover is machine washable with just a sweet little added bonus.

Pros:- Set temperature 80°F to 130° F in 10° increments- Set duration from 1 hour to 24 hours or continuously on- Press the Set button to toggle between temperature and duration- Separate buttons for Set, Power, Up, Down- Cover comes off to wash/cleanCons:- The controls do not have any memory so if you unplug it or turn the power off, you have to set it the way you want it. Not a big deal but if you want it set to a specific temperature and duration, you have to manually set it.

I have a few cats and their absolute favorite place to nap is a window seat that I have on one window that they have access too. With the weather turning colder and the favorite window seat becomes a little colder and I can tell where they really want to lay there but its colder than they would like so there is constant jumping up and down. A heating mat was my go to for this and it has worked out perfectly!This is a perfect size for a large cat, small dog, with a cord that is not one that can be chewed on easily and the amount of heat it can produce is amazing. I have not tried the highest setting because it is too hot for my pets, but they love the 90-95 degree range and this can stay on for a whole 12hours!! So I can turn this on during the day and then at night I know they will be toasty warm as the temperature drops outside. I also really, really appreciate that the outside cover zips on and off the actual mat, so if there is an accident or if it is in need of a wash, I can easily take it off, wash it, and put it back on and keep it looking nice and clean.Love the size, love the heat, love the ease of keeping this clean, but the timer is the real winner here with the heat. Highly recommend if you have pets that sleep in the garage or a shed outside or if they sleep near a colder corner of the house and you want to ensure they stay nice and warm and cared for, this is the perfect heating mat for you. Highly recommend!
