Lookie here! This contraption was the answer to all my woes. I had about 10,000 records before selling my collection 9 years ago. I recorded as much as I could, but never did a quality check. Lo and behold, about 70 songs recorded in one channel or distorted. So here we are in 2025. I have reacquired the vinyl and this device, in conjunction with a Digitnow audio capture, records perfected to my laptop. In fact, I'm gonna say it's vastly superior to what I used to digitize the first time around, which was a Technic 1200 and an old Realistic mixer. It's important to note that I've hear no buzzing or humming whatsoever! My only gripe is that once headphones are plugged in, the output channels cut off. It should have the option for both to work simultaneously. Regardless, this come highly recommended by myself. I've included pics.

This is an awesome product! I have a Garard turntable that I purchased back in 1979ish, stopped using it in 1987. I started using it today after buying this preamp and hooked it up to active bookshelf speakers. My old albums sound great using this preamp. It has its own volume control, which rocks. The one I bought first was cheaper but was unusable. You get what you pay for. I highly recommend this product.

Some ten years ago, I donated my old Fisher Studio Standard stereo system components, except for the turntable. This was because I had recently acquired a Sony surround sound system, which did not have a turntable. It turns out that it did not include a phono preamplifier either. So, the turntable has been unused and gathering dust. When I saw this preamp offered on Amazon, I thought maybe it was time to resurrect the turntable. It was in fine working condition when I shelved it all those years ago, but not now. In addition to all the dust, I found that the tonearm lifter no longer works. And in cleaning away the dust, I also messed up the tonearm balance and anti-skating adjustment. Thankfully, the stylus and cartridge were OK, so it was time to connect the preamp between the turntable and the Sony sound system.I had to find and connect another power strip to plug in the preamp as there were no more empty sockets in the two already in place behind the TV. I also commandeered a small table to place in front of the TV upon which to temporarily place the turntable since there is no suitable location in the existing stand. I couldn't immediately figure out how to get it to play through the speakers, so I opted to plug in an old pair of headphones to the jack on the preamp. Finally, I heard it -- "Love is a Rose" sung by Linda Ronstadt -- wonderful! Along with all the clicks and pops of an almost antique stylus riding on the surface of an even older vinyl LP. Not too bad, but there was also distinctly less bass than I remembered. After going through nearly all the sound system menus displayed on the TV screen, I found the one that simply connects the right and left audio jacks to play through the amplifier and speakers -- the "missing" bass came through loud and clear. Next I spent about ten minutes locating my Toto IV album. Their recording of "Africa" was the first song I played on that same turntable when I first set up the Fisher system. It was so great to hear those opening drums and keyboards again. Then came the horrible screech as the lifter tried and failed to lift near the end of the song! You probably noticed that I have barely mentioned the actual preamp. It works as expected and will likely give you much less trouble than everything else involved when using a turntable!

I've had very nice surround sound systems, good soundbars, and good standalone BT speakers in the past, but I'm newer to the whole "dedicated but small footprint setup" for playing BT and vinyl. I'm starting lower-priced to see if I'm interested in it all. That said, I wanted a decent but low-priced preamp to pair with an amp to improve the sound from a turntable and bookshelf speakers we got recently. This little phono preamp checks all those boxes. It's small, nice-looking, and very affordable at $39.99 (at the time of writing). When I got this through Vine, there weren't any reviews for this specific NEOHIPO product, but I found some reviews for other NEOHIPO stereo equipment, including some very honest videos outside of Amazon, and most were very positive. That gave me confidence.NEOHIPO sells a few other specific products that look similar or nearly identical to this one (like their BP10, which is specifically for Bluetooth transmission/amplification to speakers). It's important to note that this is a pre-amp, so it's made to go between your turntable and your active/powered speakers or your turntable and a setup that has a dedicated amp and passive speakers. This is a good little phono preamp to consider.
