I turn off the wifi signal of my cable operator and replace my old router with this system. The connection and configuration was easy. The stability of the system is great. It is a very recommended wifi mesh system with aforable price.

My gateway (i.e., modem and router combo device) was starting to fail as it would drop the Wifi signal once or twice a day. Since I work from home, consistent Wifi is a must. After researching, I settled on this mesh network, which was my first mesh networking product. If you are considering this product, do know that you will have to purchase a separate modem to work with this product and that the primary node will need to be connected to the modem by an ethernet cable so it will need to be in fairly close proximity unless you have wired ethernet throughout your home/building. The purchase of a separate modem, since I didn't already have one, increased my installation cost but the product itself is fairly reasonable compared to other options out there.Setup:Installation was a breeze thanks to the the Deco app and the instructions provided in the box. The most difficult part is setting up the first device since you'll be required to create a network that your nodes will transmit along with a password. Most routers and gateways come with their own default network names and passwords so being able to create my own from the start was a surprise but definitely welcome as it made things feel more customizable. After the initial setup of the primary node near my modem, the hardest part was figuring out where to plug in the other nodes around my house to give the best coverage since those nodes will automatically connect up to the primary node. Deco also allows you to create a guest network for times when you want to allow access to the internet but not so much trust in the guest that you want to grant them access to your main network and the devices connected to it.Operability:So far, my nodes have all operated well without any drop in my service. Coverage also remains consistent. I recently had family come visit and the added devices on the network saw no drop in the quality of connection. The Deco app has also been great in monitoring which devices are currently connected to my network. Each time a new device connects to my network, I receive a push notification with information on the device that just connected. If a device ever connects that you don't wish to have on your network, you can prohibit the device from connecting in the future. Deco also has parental controls but I haven't investigated those yet since my children don't have their own full time devices that they use without parental supervision. That being said, the tutorial of those functions is promising. I do think the Wifi signal could be a little stronger as my phone showed a little less than full signal strength in my bedroom which is directly above the room my primary node is located in and is only separated by a wood floor.Other devices in network:So far all but one device in my network is compatible with this mesh network. The only one that doesn't work is my front door flood light camera. There are two reasons for this. 1) The flood light camera is only compatible with a 2.4 GHz signal. This mesh network only works on a 5 GHz signal. A solution for this is to have your Guest network set up as either 2.4 and/or 5 GHz which is a really nice feature the Deco allows you to do. 2) The flood light camera is not compatible with Wifi 6. This is more a problem with more economical flood light cameras on the market right now and not with Deco. I write this as a warning if you are looking for this product and have a few other IoT items connected to your network. Be sure to check their compatibility with a 5 GHz signal and WiFi 6 before purchasing this product. I'll have to replace my home flood light camera since it won't work with this network.Pros:Easy installation and set upGood coverageCons:Price compared to gateways (i.e., router/modem combos) but compared to other mesh networks this is a great valueNot all IoT devices may be compatible with the network frequency or WiFi 6 so do your research on their compatibility first

I do network installs for a living. I've used most everything on the market. Tp-link remains at the top of the class for me year after year. Ease of installation, wifi range, reliability and functionality are all exceptionally good. Once I finish the setup with this Tp-link setup, I just don't hear back from my customers with any complaints or issues about wifi. It simply works day in and day out.
