This has many of the features found on more expensive tripods. It has a decent extension height and also a wind-up/down centre rod for exact framing, which means you can move the head up and down by about 250mm without adjusting the legs.It also has multi-part lockable leg sections and adjustable feet. The head has its own QR [quick release] plate with a standard thread so you can quickly mount/de-mount your phone mount or camera. At this price point you wouldn't expect a fluid head. Also, the whole thing doesn't feel as rock solid as a three-times-more-expensive model. It is rated at 3kg payload, but I wouldn't want to be using it with my expensive DSLR. And I'm not going to be.I love shooting with my iPhone, and will keep this in the van to give stability for static shots with my iPhone and phone mount

I like to dabble in a bit of amateur photography and I got this so that could use it to take some good family shots around Christmas time. I don't do a lot of photography with a tripod so I didn't want to spend too much on something really fancy. At Christmas time I also want to be in the family shots and a tripod and timer does the trick. My old tripod broke as I have had it for over 10 years and I think this one is the perfect replacement - it's got a good solid build yet it's still light in weight, making it easy to take with me, thanks to the carry bag that's included. This has an adjustable height, which is 20 inches at it's smallest size, and 74 inches at it's tallest size. At 74 inches fully extended, it provides excellent height for shooting videos or taking photos from a high perspective and allows for a lot of flexibility in framing shots. The 360-degree head rotation makes it easy to get that perfect shot. Basically anything that needs moving or adjusting on this is pretty much quick release or it's very quick and easy to do, which makes this really easy to use.Thankfully my needs are basic and I don't require this to be used no where near it's full height of 74 inches, because when I was testing this I tried it at it's highest and that did introduce a bit of unbalance. That's caused mainly by the centre of gravity shifting and that can always introduce a bit of a wobble. Most of the time you can compensate for that by adjusting the tripod accordingly, but I just don't think this really designed well enough to cope with those highest heights, especially on a flat surface. On a more rugged terrain, where the tripod is on uneven ground then it may be possible to adjust it a bit better as the centre of gravity of it shifts again and adding some weight to the centre hook can help in certain scenarios.Overall, for the price this is surprisingly well made and is a practical and budget-friendly choice for those who need a tall, portable tripod for lighter devices like smartphones or compact cameras. It’s not the most stable, at the highest heights and for heavier equipment, but for the smaller and lighter devices like the ones I just mentioned this is absolutely fine.
