Very space efficient for a 24 socket PDU. Of course half of those are on the back so you have to plan ahead to take advantage of the space.My company is running 20 physical servers (all running at very high load), 4 load balancers, and a few switches, all powered by 2 of these bad boys, for about 16 months now with only one issue (our fault though, detailed below). Each one is running close to 20A total electricity.I really like how tightly the power cables fit into this thing. There is no way they would ever fall out accidentally if you bump one for example, which I have experienced before at another data center.Make sure to evenly distribute the load across the two circuits in the PDU. It's rated for 30A total but it's only 15A per circuit. One time we plugged one too many servers into one circuit and it flipped the circuit breaker, causing about 6 servers to power off uncleanly. That was kind of a nightmare, not the PDU's fault though. An amperage meter would be nice but there's no room!

If you're looking for a PDU for a relay rack, this will do the job nicely. On the other hand, if you intend to rack this in a cabinet, think it through: As it ships, the outlets face inward and the circuit breakers and power usage readout facing out. At 3am some morning during a maintenance window you're gonna blindly reach in there, fumbling around, and shock yourself. Don't say I didn't tell you so.But - you can move the rack ears so the outlets face out. If you've bought these like I did and then realized as you were racking them your silly choice, I highly recommend moving the ears. Now you'll be able to easily see/move power cables, but during your 3am maintenance window, you'll whack your head as you stick your head into the cabinet to try and read the power usage. At that point you will remember this review, and me saying "I told you so."In seriousness, it does the job, just could be better thought out.

The PDU works as expected, sturdy construction, plenty of sockets, all as expected.Good thing is that it can be also mounted vertically and take 0 units (although not sure if it becomes 12 socket after that).

We purchased a PDUMH30AT after determining that we really needed an A/B power solution, but also couldn't afford for half of our servers to go down (or have dual power supplies for each of our servers) in the event of an A or B power failure. The PDUMH30AT allows for us to be completely hands-off. In the event we lose power in a circuit it immediatly switches over to an alternate circuit. It even monitors the quality of the power source and will switch to the alternate source if the primary becomes unreliable. We've had the PDUMH30AT running in production for a few months now and it's worked perfectly.Our only concern with the device is that it does have an ATS which can (albeit rarely) fail. So to be extra safe we held on to our old simple PDUs just in case.The PDUMH30AT is a great product and I highly recommend it for any situation where A/B power is needed but you don't want to have to toil with distributing your servers across two separate circuits.
