The price is good on this, but it is pretty small. I would not be looking to do a big pot of potatoes with this- maybe a small one or avocados for guac. The end is about the size of 1 smallish red potato. I did get it more for guac and smaller things, we use the hand blender or KA mixer for larger pots of potatoes. The handle is very thin, and super smooth. There's no ridges or anything for hand comfort or to keep your hand from sliding. It would be more comfortable with a thicker handle, in my opinion. For $7 I think 4 stars if you're looking for a smaller masher. If the price were to go up too much I'd suggest looking at other options, especially if you want a bigger one.

This potato masher gets the job done and works great for potatoes, avocados, beans, and more. It’s sturdy enough for everyday use, and I love that it’s dishwasher safe for easy cleanup. The only downside is the "golf club-style" shape—if you apply too much pressure on the head, it can bend. So, while it works well, it’s best to mash with a little finesse rather than brute force.Overall, a solid kitchen tool that’s great for light to moderate use! 🥑🥔

This masher is touted as being for mashing everything from potatoes to avocados to beans, but it's strong enough to tackle just about anything. I've used it in my mortar to combine ingredients for my traditional Thai recipes. The issue with most mashing kinds of kitchen tools is often times the food is quite slippery and it's no fun and a waste of energy to chase stuff trying to escape the masher. Bigger mashers typically help with this issue. So, bear in mind the head of this one is on the smaller side. Everything is a compromise and bigger mashers have their issues, too. I'm going to try is using a Rubbermaid container of about the same diameter to hold the food in place in hopes that it will help hasten the mashing process. The masher is very sturdy and made from sufficiently thick steel that will not easily bend. I'm a serious home cook who likes to create and experiment, so any time I find a gadget that will fill a need then I'm all for it. This one qualifies and I do recommend this masher.

This "potato masher" was much smaller than I expected (mainly because I didn't read the description well enough), but it does the job. It's the right size and works perfectly for smashing avocados. It does work for potatoes, but the small size makes it unsuitable for more than a serving or two.I appreciate the all-in-one construction. It's sturdy and doesn't bend! The large holes make cleaning a breeze, and it has survived multiple dishwasher cleanings.I like this smashing tool and may even splurge for the large one for proper potato mashing!

This is a sturdy and easy to use masher.Needed to get a masher as the fork method wasn't doing the job for a family of 5.It's easy to clean and easy to use.Good grip on the handle and mash and rock back and forth.Eggs, potatoes, rice, it'll do it.
