It’s on the thin side. 4 blankets come in a pack, and they are simple to install. The grommets are on the top only. If you need to seal up the sides, use some heavy duty Velcro. They are well constructed, and can be used for a number of different things. I’m using them for a chicken coop, to help with the crowing. So far, so good. They are not sound proof, but they definitely cut down on the noise. The look good too.Seemed the ducks were quacking away when I was putting it up. But they’re a pair of drama queens anyway. Always stirring up controversy at the coop. The chickens were cool about it.

I want to quote a Mike knows song about falling in love, but my therapist says I need to filter more so I’ll dilute my sinful thoughts with SpongeBob…In clarity.I can’t speak to transparency through walls. In a concert hall/300 person venue that’s all metal, like my rock and role heart- these dampened some to most of the mid range and simblance from the drummer reflections when placed in the (close to accurate) first reflection zone of more than half of the sources.I’d trust these with conduit in any (all-black-themed-/-colored-/-painted-/-decorated venue). Solid. Big. Heavy. Kinda seem like re-branded, non-wuhan moving blankets, but I’m down.T-Pain for president.

thinner than competitors and have to use two stacked, where one of their competitors products would only need 1

I wanted to create a low cost recording booth which would dampen sounds and provide clearer recordings. These sound dampening blankets worked great to dampen the room sounds and provide me a quiet recording area.At the top of the blankets, there are grommets and straps which allow you to suspend the blankets in a number of ways. In my case, I used 11/2" PVC pipe and the straps went around that perfectly. The blankets have quilting which is well done and consistent, and the edges have a double stitched finish wrap around the whole blanket - which prevents any fraying at the edges. They are heavy enough to dampen most room sounds and while not soundproof, makes it so my recordings don't pick up sounds like:- air coming from vents- computer fans- disk drives- someone walking or talking in the room upstairsI'm happy with their quality and performance and they should last me for years to come.
