The Saint Benedict medals are very well-made zinc alloy medals that are faithful recreations of the original St Benedict medal. Other medals do not have the same details or words in the proper location as described in the St Benedict medal article in Wikipedia. I estimated the alloy density from measurements and confirmed that the medal is made of a zinc alloy. The zinc alloy is likely ZAMAK 3 which contains approximately 93% Zinc as well as Aluminum, Copper, Magnesium, and small traces of other metals. The alloy is less dense than pure Zinc and is the most common Zinc alloy used in the US.The only problem I encountered with the purchase was that the box that the medals were shipped in was opened and only 58 of the 60 medals were present. Nonetheless, the medals are worth keeping because of the quality of the medal. I recommend these medals to anyone who wants a quality reproduction of the original St Benedict medal.

The last bullet states they are stainless steel. They are not. They are thin aluminum, about 2mm thick. Very light weight. There are no bails either, those little rings to attach to chains. I'm returning them. I would like to point out that I determined the type of metal by measuring the volume of the metal, weighing it, and comparing it to known metal weights. Each metal was 1.6 cubic cm. That calculated volume if aluminum would be 4.3 grams, if stainless steel it would be 12.5 grams, if zinc it would be 11.5 grams. When I weight the metals I received they were 4.2 grams each. For comparison I have an identical sized metal of zinc. It weighs 11.4 grams. Positive proof they are aluminum not stainless steel.

Pensé qué estarían de mejor calidad, además de qué me mandaron 59 medallas y no 60 por las qué se pago, para mi gusto primera y última vez que compró a dicho vendedor, además son chinas, espero qué tengan la calidad qué dicen
