When my 20 year old, 42" barrel drum fan quit, I thought it may be time to replace it. I paid $200 for it. Well, now they are well over $600. I researched on the web and found out it could be the run capacitor. I called the factory and they don't sell parts. so I looked here on Amazon. I got this inexpensive part ($7 for two) 10UF 450VAC and installed it. The fan works better than it ever had now and I have an extra part for the next time. Heck yea, brother!

Have a large shop fan that would not start when turned on. I replaced the capacitor with one of these and it works great again!
