##UPDATE:The product by design has the pins for the 4 pin connector towards the top vs the bottom. So to get it to work correctly it needs to be push down firm to sit against the pi. This is fine if you dont use a case or any risers that could interfere with this. Im updating my review to 5 stars. Because the seller was quick to respond and sent a new unit. Though the design in the product may be the issue here, the seller is great.###################################################################This PoE hat gets the job done, but it’s not without issues. The biggest problem I encountered was with the 4-pin connector, which had a loose connection out of the box. I had to carefully bend the pins to establish a proper connection—something that shouldn’t be necessary on a new product.That said, once connected, the fan works well. Unlike some other reports, I found it to be quiet and effective at keeping temperatures in check. It’s also low-profile, making it a great choice for compact setups.Overall, this PoE hat is functional but has quality control issues. If you’re comfortable making minor adjustments, it’s a decent option. However, for a plug-and-play experience, you might want to look elsewhere. 3/5 stars.

Fan died after a solid year and a half of uptime, and yes it did make some horrible sounds for a while.

Fitting this was fairly trouble free, and I paired it with the Uctronics 1RU rack mount for the Pi. Unfortunately after about 3 weeks the fan started to get really noisy. I have it running in an open rack in my walkin robe, and the noise if great enough to now need to close the door to sleep at night. I will be swapping for a Pi original POE hat, and maybe try replacing the fan and try it again on my next Pi project. Shame.

This is a really low profile POE Hat or the RPi 4B. It is very quiet and fans spins up/down based on load. Entirely appropriate for a Pi that is in a rack mount orientation.
