In the old days a wet rag (with ice in it sometimes) was the key to succeeding when soldering to existing plumbing. I have used this trick for well over 40 years until I found out about this product. I love it!!! I have made very difficult solders on pipe as well as hobby items that require such and it always works. FYI~ I see now that there is also a reusable putty which I will be checking out sometime in the near future.

I used this to braze an EEV (electronic expansion valve) on a heat pump. The part couldn’t get over 250F. Got it brazed on.. and got the system working. Good stuff.

Used it for some gunsmith work to prevent having to take everything apart while using a torch. Got a soldered part removed and metal 3 inches away never got above 120 F, used a temperature gun to check. It turns from a dark blue to a light blue as it dries from the heat. Easy to wipe off and wash off when done. It is thick enough to stick to vertical surfaces as well as upside down or bottom surfaces.
