I work with multiple rifle calibers and the need for precision in my reloads is an absolute must. I have used other tools in the past but after using this tool for 3 calibers so far, I wonder why I did not get it a long time ago. This product comes with a perfect storage case with foam insert inside to hold all comparators in place. The measurements are literally perfect for the professional hand loader. Honestly, worth the money to get this product.

Item looks good. Have yet to test. Packaging for delivery is questionable though, it came in a regular amazon envelope with not internal protection, so when I opened the box the comparitor does were all over the place and I assume banging against each other. Considering that this product is meant to measure PRECISE distances at thousands of an inch, perhaps you could put a cover foam on top of the dies as well to keep them from coming out of their spots during delivery? Will test for consistency and adjust rating if ok.. but please consider the improvement in packaging.. or alert delivery to deliver with more care.

Name brand quality without name brand cost. Accurate and easy to use. Measuring to ogive to assure seating consistency is the only way to really get the accuracy you're chasing. Soft point bullets and tipped bullets vary in length by enough to throw you off if you only use OAL.

Before you go writing a negative review, maybe you should learn the different taps and what materials they are used for. Just saying...These are FORMING taps. They are primarily used on COPPER. They can be used on some plastics but not all.Copper is an excellent heat sink material, almost twice the thermal conductivity of aluminum. The problem with copper is as some machinists call it, it is a "gummy" metal. It doesn't work with cutting tools well because it tends to clog small cutters like the teeth on a tap. Being soft, don't use a cutting tap, use a FORMING tap on copper. Normal twist drill bits usually work ok but buy a six pack, if it clogs it may snap the drill bit. 2.5mm drill bits for M3x0.5 threads. Use dry or with grease, beeswax, hard soap or water based Anchorlube. Always go slow, slower is better.Forming taps are NOT to be used with any flavor of brass, bronze, nor iron/steel. You may use a forming tap with PURE aluminum, but NOT with aluminum alloys e.g. 6061. Most aluminum heatsinks are NOT pure aluminum, beware!Bottom line if the material is soft and easily maleable, pushes out of the way without cracking, then forming taps are what you want. This is not a Thread Cutting tap as the description states. It is a Thread Forming Tap - It displaces the metal rather than cutting it.
