My transmission temperature used to be 180-198 degrees-with new Valve 138-154 degrees.I installed it myself in about 15 minutes using a 13 mm and 10mm box wrenches.only about 2ounces of fluid leaked out of lines when disconnected

I had learned that the factory bypass was set to around 190-195 degrees which from my understanding is not good for the transmission fluid. I installed this just before a 350 mile trip to pick up my new boat. The 350 mile drive home from GA to KY, I never saw my trans temp get above 170 degrees pulling a boat roughly 7000 pounds.Install was super simply. Only complaint is I wish it was sent with new o-rings and gaskets. I reused my original ones and fortunately I did not have any leaks.

Metal shavings inside. Had to disassemble to clean. And the center bolt hole was off center, bolt went in sideways and snapped. I ended up using the internals only. Update— customer service reached out on their own to fix the problem. Solid product support. They made it right.

This product dropped the temperature of my transmission by 20° my transmission is so longer cooking the fluid making it last longer great product. If you didn’t already the manufacturer recommends you change it. This is the one you want.
