I charged the batteries as soon as I received them, they charged fine and worked well , I did a project and was pleased with the power sustained from the battery and the durability they possess

My 14.4 Dewalt drill had been dormant for years. I had been using a cheap, corded Harbor Freight drill/driver, which was adequate, but the cable made it frustrating on occasion. I bought these aftermarket batteries and charged them up. My drill came back to life. Initially the bit rotated slowly and my drill sparked. Clouds of grey smoke poured from the vents and the battery got very hot. Then, without warning, the drill wound up to full power, the smoke eased off, and the sparking decreased until it ceased. These batteries were advertised as being useable with a 14.4 drill, so I don’t know what the issue is. This wasn’t a one-time event. I recharged yesterday (June 3rd, 2023) and the same thing happened: sparkles, smoke, stink, slow rotation, the a kick and the drill worked fine. The battery does seem to get really hot - hotter than seems right. What’s life without a little risk, though?

Will review again in a few months as I just received these batteries. So Battery Life and Longevity is undetermined as of right now.I bought these to replace my OEM Batteries (DW9094) as they were worn out and old and quit holding a charge.So far these batteries fit perfect with no issue, Lined up and snapped in place.These batteries also came with a full charge, I put them on the battery charger and it blinked for a few seconds then went solid.

Great price and seem to work well so far. Fits perfectly in my drill and seems to operate as well as original. Had no problems inserting or releasing from drill. Cannot speak to battery life yet. Only issue I've had is that these are slightly larger than the OEM DeWalt batteries and would not allow the drill storage case to close properly. After trimming some of the plastic from the drill case it now closes properly.
