really easy to install once you figure out all the parts. the cable i needed to use this on was cat5e so it was a little smaller in diameter than my other cable which were cat6. it still worked well for my purpose which was where there could be exposure to the elements.

Really could have used a diagram or instructions.Otherwise very nice bag , crimper worked great after figuring out the release . All worked well and no further issues.

The VCE Waterproof Shielded RJ45 Coupler set arrived simply packaged in a clear plastic pouch.Two couplers are included in the pack.The CAT 6 rated RJ45 couplers are moulded from a modern nylon type material with silicone seals and all threaded areas work smoothly.Moulding quality is very high and there was no sign of any rough edges or moulding flash.Internally the couplers feature gold plated pins with a metal shielding layer to protect from external interference.An easy way to extend outdoor RJ45 terminated cables without re-terminating or splicing.Great value for a set of two.

These couplers have excellent build quality. The design is simple but appears to be very effective, and the materials feel substantial and robust. The design makes it easy to join cables that already have RJ45 connectors installed. The centre O-rings compress sufficiently, and the rubber collar tightens securely around the cable.I used one of these to replace a damaged section of cable running to my outhouse. There is enough room within the housing of this coupler to install a small sachet of silica gel, so I placed one on each side to help absorb any moisture that might find its way in over time.All in all, these are great and work well as an alternative to a bare wire junction box. I would recommend them if asked.

I was running an over-land exposed line of Cat6 out to the shed in the back-yard and found these couplers. The couplers are easy to use, they are plug and play effectively, but I appreciate the fact that they are quite well sealed on both ends. Since installing the cable (which is powering a POE camera), we had several strong rain-storms and I didn't have any issues with anything shorting out even while the couplers lay in several centimeters of water. Totally something I'll be ordering again if an outdoor run of Cat6 is needed.
