I use this fan to cool off some of my A/V components in a confined space. for this reason, it is the perfect gadget. I can plug it into the surge protector, mount it to my cabinet and direct it to the components that need cooling off. Furthermore, I can mount the dial on the outside of the cabinet for easy adjustments.I took a star off for noise level, which could also be considered a positive. As a positive, this thing spins REALLY FAST and blows quite a lot of air for such a small device. On the downside, it generates a lot of noise when doing so.

With the adjustable speed control and ac connection. I can keep my external hard drives within a moderate temp. range.although at the highest speed setting the noise is noticeable .

My Whirlpool french door refrigerator was freezing food and vegetables in the left crisper, which is underneath the ice maker and freezing food in the deli tray. All refrigerator temperature sensors seem to be working according to the electronic system diagnostics. So I bought the SXDOOL fan and put it inside the refrigerator to blow the colder air back up tp the top shelves. The speed controller sits outside the refrigerator on the countertop. I run the fan on a low setting just to move some air from the lower cold spots back up towards the top. Now the temperature is being maintained at the desired setting. I’ve had the unit for about 1 month and it is working great so far.
