I was excited to get this in, hoping it would ease tire rotations on my Jeep. I’m using 37” tires. My first impression is that this is well made and easy to assemble. Took it out to the garage and found out quickly that it wouldn’t open wide enough to go around my 37” tire and catch, even with it jacked up some.

The tool is well constructed and heavy duty. The tool arrived very quickly and packed well. The only thing I had to do was put on four small roller wheels, which took under five minutes. The tool has a lever you can raise the wheels with your foot, which is very easy and you don’t need to be on your knees constantly. I plan on using the tool to lift heavier tires back onto the vehicle. I would purchase again.

I'm getting too old to try to hoist a tire up on an axle and align it to the studs so I bought this dolly. I only needed one as I do not plan to slide my car around the garage. It's perfect for what I need it for which is to just live the tire/wheel up enough to slide it on the studs. When I got it, it was not hard to put together. Just needed to mount the four casters to the frame. The wheels look a little cheap but the rest of it looks well built. It might be possible to replace the wheels without replacing the who caster if I ever need to do that. So on my first test, I slide the dolly under my rear tire on my Chrysler minivan and was able to jack up the tire by just pushing down on the tool lever with my hand… no foot needed. It raised the tire up off the floor relatively easy. But, when I was letting it down, a ~3" spring came shooting out of it. Looking at the exploded view in the OM, it was supposed to be between the handle and the right ratcheting lever. I had to back out the bolt holding the up/down directional lever and put the spring back in. Not sure why it popped out, perhaps it wasn't installed at the factory right. Anyway works good and all but is a little heavy to lift up.

It’s heavy duty but the mechanics need improved. It doesn’t reduce in width (raise tire) to its last three notches. Why are the notches there? It is impossible to open up in width (lower tire) with the weight of a tire on it so you have to take the tire off of it to do it. The tire resting rollers should be on bearings then it might open up without taking the tire off of it. I’m thinking the ones that cost 3 x more do these things better idk
