This ribbon is hands down the most beautiful, luxurious looking velvet ribbon I’ve ever purchased. Looks like it came right out of 1925. It’s a bit rough, not soft on the skin, but I was only using it for gift wrapping and closure of a robe and homemade book, so it won’t be directly touching my skin. Otherwise, it’s absolutely gorgeous, exactly what I was hoping for.

I have included several photos of the ribbon on different backgrounds in my review, because one of the most difficult things to describe about it is the color of the ribbon. Looking at the photos online, I chose it because it is a lovely blue-green that I use in my home decor. In the photos you can see that the color shifts a lot, depending on what it’s around-- and can look blue, green, silver, or a mix of the three colors. The fabric feels very luxurious and looks like a premium ribbon. Mine came in two rolls inside a box and was not tightly bound. I haven’t fully decided what I want to use it for, because I really want to find a way to use it in my decor, but it would make a gorgeous gift bow as well. The total yardage of the ribbon is 5 yards, and the width is 2.5 inches wide.

The color is nothing as it looks at the description and the pictures shown is more like gray

This is a really pretty velvet ribbon. I have plans to use it for some paper piecing quilting. I think it’ll give my pieces an extra bit of elegance and sheen. This could be used for all manner of things, including decoration and gift wrapping, as the product description indicates. The dusty green looks almost exactly the color shown in the product pictures, which to me looks more like a slightly warmer ice blue. I like it and it’s exactly what I was wanting. The price may be a little more than I’d want to spend if I needed a lot of this ribbon, but for the small amount I need, the price is reasonable.

So this ribbon is shiny but it's hard to say it's blue. Maybe it's the lighting in my house but I am hard pressed to find the blue in this. I held it next to a blue flower and to me it reads as silver or gray. I wanted a light teal or blue to go with my champagne colored ribbon but it seems that everyone's versions of colors are all different. Even the champagne color I ordered is very pale. If you like pastel that's one thing, but this seems beyond pastel - just pale.
