This item is great for mounting an iMac. You need this piece to fix on to the iMac stand. Without it, you can’t mount the computer. It easily attaches to the back. I bought the arm to be used with the mounting attachment, so that my iMac could be lifted off my desk at eye level, while still being sturdy. I drilled the arm piece into my wooden desk (I think there was also a clamp option that I didn’t realize until after I drilled the holes). The arm is moveable and adjustable. It can turn completely around, side to side, and tilt. This is great for any desk, but my desk is an adjustable standing desk. I can stand, or lower it to sit. And both ways, my computer is always at the appropriate eye level to help maintain my posture! I originally had a monitor riser, but it was fixed on my desk, so I was always worried that it would fall off my desk and break my computer. Additionally, risers take up a lot of space—and mine made my computer too close to my face. With this mount, I can easily move it back or closer to me, and I have the security of knowing it’s locked in place and not going anywhere, even when I move my desk.

2週間ほど使用した現時点では問題ありません。ただ角度調整を細めのネジの先端で支えている点については、「（キャップがついているとはいえ）本当に大丈夫か…？」という気持ちが払拭しきれず。力がネジの先端に集中しそうな構造なので、画面の角度変えるたびにiMacの背面に傷がつかないかと不安な気持ちになります。機能自体には今のところ満足していますが、もう少しのあいだ慎重に様子をみておこうと思います。

I recently purchased the VIVO VESA Adapter Plate to use with my iMac, and I have mixed feelings about the overall experience. On the positive side, the adapter plate itself was a perfect fit for my iMac and served its purpose exceptionally well.The sturdy construction of the VIVO VESA Adapter Plate provided a secure and stable connection between my iMac and the VIVO Single Monitor Arm Desk Mount. It was easy to assemble and install, and I appreciated the seamless integration with my iMac, enhancing my overall workspace setup.However, it's important to note that while the VESA Adapter Plate performed admirably, the same cannot be said for the VIVO Single Monitor Arm Desk Mount. Regrettably, the arm struggled to bear the weight of my iMac, resulting in an unstable setup. This limitation significantly impacted the overall effectiveness of the VESA Adapter Plate.In conclusion, the VIVO VESA Adapter Plate itself is a commendable product that delivered on its promise for my iMac. If paired with a more robust monitor arm capable of supporting the weight, it could be an ideal solution for enhancing your workspace. However, users should exercise caution when considering the VIVO Single Monitor Arm Desk Mount for heavier monitors like the iMac.

Made of heavy gauge steel and very sturdy. Needed to add a monitor to my iMac computer but had a problem trying to get the monitor at the same level as my iMac ( had to set the monitor on 2 cigar boxes, ugly). I looked around and seen the dual monitor VESA mount stands but the Apple iMac does not connect to a VESA mount, then I found this and it works great. Would recommend for mounting an iMac on a VESA mount stand.
