The unit stopped working within a week. Tried all the trouble shooting methods and still will not make ice.

So far, it has done exactly what it said it would do. The negative reviews appear often to come from people who have unrealistic expectations. If you have a fridge and are hoping this would be a perfect substitute for a built in ice maker, you may not like this.No, you can't just fill it up at night, and expect to have nice ice cubes waiting for you in the morning. But if you have it near your freezer and can scoop up the cubes every 30m or so it works really well.And, confession, I am an ice chewer, but at age 77 I know that keeping all my original teeth may be shortlived if I keep on crunching hard ice, so I appreciate the fact that these ice "cubes" are hollow and thin-walled!

Makes ice very well and fast but the ice storage bay is too small. Always re-adjusting the ice.
