The fan works fan, has good variable speed control, and does not vibrate very much at all. Noisier than expected, though - even at low speeds there is an electric motor sound even when there is no wind noise. Its loud enough that can be heard across the room. The smaller version of this, the 610DC, is absolutely silent at low speeds, so I do not know why this is so noisy. I would not get it again. A second 610DC is what I should have purchased, in retrospect.

I love Vornado fans. They really do circulate air throughout the entire room. The only fault with this fan is that the plug into the back of the fan comes out easily. You move the fan, the plug comes out. Not too happy about this design. No other Vornado I’ve ever owned was designed this way.

I'm weird about noise. I wanted a fan I could run very quietly at low speed. This fan is it.If you need to crank it up, you definitely can!

The Fan is very Strong to 100 Ft. The stick on rubber feet is a poor addition and does not stay on. Should have design permanent rubber feet instead.

I like the fan.Pros: I like the more efficient DC motor and that the fan is not too loud.Cons: I don’t like the non-adjustable base limited to its set 0°, 45° and 90° shape that offers no way to dial in a ‘just right’ angle. Also problematic is the power cord which consists of about 30” of AC cord that plugs into a 1/2 lb. DC converter box with a length of DC cord that plugs into a port on the back of the fan. The outlet in my use case is 4’ off the floor which means that the 1/2 lb. weight of the converter box is dangling from the outlet. Less than ideal. Lastly, instead of built-on floor-protecting rubber feet the fan comes with tiny 3/4” x 1/8” adhesive rubberized strips the user has to apply. Not the best long term solution. So in summary the actual fan is fine but the non-adjustable base, the power cord solution and the floor protection feels a bit like corner-cutting to maximize profit. Definitely room for improvement.
