Okay, folks, buckle up because I'm about to make wire connectors sound interesting. Yeah, I know, wire connectors—whoopee! But stay with me because the WAGO 221 Series Compact Splicing Wire Connectors are about to blow your mind. Imagine if Elon Musk decided to reinvent the paper clip—that's what we're dealing with here.I bought these connectors because, like any self-respecting homeowner, I have a pile of electrical work that I keep promising I'll get to... eventually. These WAGO connectors are like the IKEA of electrical work. You strip the wire, shove it in, flip the lever, and bam! Connection made. It's almost as satisfying as finding out your least favorite reality TV show just got canceled. Now, let's talk about the real selling point: ease of use. These things are so easy to use, I half-expected them to come with a complimentary glass of wine and a foot rub. They're compact, so they fit into those tiny electrical boxes like a dream. And for those of you who juggle solid and stranded wires, these connectors handle both like a pro. It's like having a Swiss Army knife in the form of a wire nut.But hold your horses—don't toss out your old wire nuts just yet. These WAGO connectors are rated for 20 amps, but if you're hooking up something that could double as a small power plant, you might want to stick with the traditional twist. And here's a pro tip from me to you: wrap these connectors with electrical tape just to be sure those levers don't spring open, like your Uncle Larry's mouth at Thanksgiving dinner. So, what's the bottom line? The WAGO 221 connectors are a game-changer. They make wiring so easy, even a politician could do it. They're quick, they're clean, and they're reliable. But they’re not perfect. For those heavy-duty jobs, you might still want to go old school with the wire nuts.

As a commercial electrician, I first learned to use these with the company I work for. We do commercial lighting installs for large warehouses where the voltage can run anywhere from 120 volts up to as high as 480 volts. These allow us to save a LOT of time when installing a couple thousand lights at a time!I purchased this kit specifically for a house I’m helping to renovate. I find at times that these are far more effective when splicing wires, to give coworkers a temporary line to run there tools while I’m working on a separate circuit that I have to shutdown to work on. This allows them to keep working. Then I can disconnect the line easily as opposed to cutting or removing a wire nut that is quite destructive to the wire when splicing. From experience with these I must say these are a great addition to any electrical tool kit!

They really reduce the time to do multiple installs of direct wire electric devices. Incredible advantage over marrettes if working overhead or splicing different gauge wires. So many fixtures come with pathetic small aluminum wiring which are really spotty with multi line old school copper. No need for pig tails, these handle that issue incredibly well. My only mistake was buying too few the first time. If you do electric work around your home or for your family they cut the working time to a third or a quarter. Buy more than you think you need. Great part of the mixed pack is that you can split larger twists or use the 3 or 4 part connectors for just 2 if you want.

These Wago 221 wire connectors are by far the best and easiest option for electrical connections. The various sizes are all smaller than the equivalent twist-type connectors which makes it easier to fit everything in the wiring box. The design allows you to easily ensure that all your connections are solid and make it extremely easy to remove a single wire when doing something like changing a switch, outlet, or fixture. They also make work on overhead fixtures so much easier since you can have all the other wiring in place and then simple put each wire from the fixture into the open connectors and flip the lever closed. The Wago connectors also work much better than other push-in or wire nuts when connecting stranded and solid wires, as is the usual case with lights, fans, etc.If you are a DIYer doing electrical work, these Wago Connectors are well worth the money.

Like the way they work. Much easier than wire nuts in tight connection situations. Expensive but worth it in my experience/ opinion. Holds the wires securely. Say they’re reusable. Haven’t tried to reuse. Don’t think I would.
