We weigh our ground coffee for espresso shots and wanted a sturdy holder for the portafilter on the coffee scale. This holder is well made and sturdy. It holds the portafilter perfectly (we use a one sided portafilter that is heavy to the left). It is a good item for anyone who wants a sturdy stand for their portafilter.

This holder is too thin to sustain the tamping pressure applied on the portafilter.if all you you want to hold a portafilter for display, or to hold it under the grinder while grinding - it works, and this is why I give it 2 stars.for a tamping station - not worth it. get a wooden one, or just a sturdier holder.

I really liked the stand when it was received.I have a small scale for espresso and the Portafilter would not sit without tilting on the scale. I loved the stand,but my straight handled Portafilter would not sit flat. I like the stand and rather than return, I added a felt pad to the stand to allow my Portafilter to lay flat. It now works very well for weighing the dose,WDT,Leveling and tamping.

Perfect! this is better than expected by far but the fact it’s very rigid is so great and comes with non-scratch pads which i don’t need so far as my scale has a scratch pad already.
