Bought this product for my hose outlet in my garage. It's been working great and I'm very satisfied with it. I was torn between these and the other self extending/retracting ones you see on TV. Decided to get this one and I've been very happy with it. Works really well for washing cars and the like. I'm using it mostly indoors, so it's not at all exposed to the sun or the elements, besides the fact that garage temperature in the summer in Southern California can go up to about 110-120 degrees, which this thing has held up to greatly so far.My mom saw this and decided she wanted one for her backyard as well. She got it and swapped out her other hose which is a regular hose. She loves it. Her backyard is obviously exposed to the elements, but the place where the hose is exposed doesn't get too much sun. So I can't comment if it's gonna hold up to direct exposure or not, although based on the material I'd say it would be no different than other hoses, if not better. Some reviewers said it won't work if you have to turn a corner and that it gets punctures very easily. I asked her and she said it's been holding up real well, better than the regular hose she had before. All in all it seems to be a very good buy and I'm definitely happy with it... and so is my mom. This one doesn't come with a spray head. I had a few of them laying around and it fits any avg garden hose spray head... so no problems there. Installing it is also really easy so you don't need any kind of special tools for it other than what you'd normally use with any other comparable product. I really like that it stores very neatly and you don't need a hose reel to store it when you're done. highly recommended.

Perfect. Simply ideal for our townhouse as our garage is small and has limited space for a large hose. I got sick of the traditional hose getting tangled and then having to re-hang the hose on a plastic thing on my garage wall. It was just a pain to use. This recoils easily, pulls easily and with the Bon aire nozzle (sold separately) it makes the perfect combination of strength and flexibility. Have had this for nearly a year and works great. Only recommendation is that you use an additional washer when connecting the end to the water spigot. It tends to leak a touch which probably has more to do with my spigot than this hose. All in all, the best hose I have ever used.and by the way, dont waste your time with those expanding water hoses that look like a recoiled snake. Too many tears, pops and pour water pressure. This does everything you need and takes up very little space when coiled up.

My old garden hose finally gave out. It was time to replace it for a new one. Not wanting to get a standard water hose from Home Depot or Walmart, I was looking for something different like a coil hose. While doing some research online, a company named Water Right is known for top quality garden hose. Based on that, I decided to get the 50-Foot coil garden hose. Here are the reasons why.The outdoor temp. can be extreme sometimes. The reason I bought this hose is the quality of it. It’s engineered and made to withstand the cold and hot environment daily and face any weather conditions. I purchased this back in March of 2014. It’s constantly facing the sun with no shade. If you were to look at the hose today, amazingly it still looks new. I see no cracks. It's solid like a rock. The second reason is the weight of this garden hose. Unlike others that are heavy and thick, this one is very flexible and light. About 3.4 pounds, having a coil garden hose is so much easier to put back when done watering. Water Right did a great job in designing it to prevent any sort of hose kinks. This means no more fighting to tangled or untangled hoses. Amen.I decided on the color Olive Green. The color kind of matches the outdoor environment. I find it was easy to install. Turning it of and on, the water flow shoots great with good amount of water pressure. The only negative thing about this product is the price. For some, it’s a little pricey to spending over $45.00 for a garden hose. If your on a tight budget and don’t want to spend too much, you may want to look elsewhere. Other than that I ‘m very happy with this product. Water Right made a great garden hose. I would definitely buy another one.

This really is an excellent hose. It is well-made of quality materials, and I like the fact that it is drinking-water-safe. The connections at both ends are quite solid and do not leak at all (I use this hose with the at one end, and the at the other). It is sturdy, DOES NOT KINK AT ALL, and recoils neatly to original size after use.I would have given it 5+ stars, except, as others have noted, it does NOT stretch fully to the advertised length. I bought the 50-foot version, and it stretches to perhaps 35 feet or so, when I use considerable force to extend and hold it. There is no way I could extend it, lay it on the ground, and leave it there with a sprinkler attached to water a certain area. It would pull back to a much shorter length.I had read the reviews, but bought the 50-foot hose anyway, as I thought it would stay stretched if I stood there and held it. It still falls a bit short for my needs. It is such a good quality product that instead of returning it, I bought a second hose to get the length I want and I am still quite happy with it. If you need 50 feet, I'd say buy two of these. If you want, say, 100 feet of length AND the ability to extend, place a sprinkler, and walk away, I'd suggest 3 100-foot hoses, or start with 2, and keep in mind you may end up needing 3.The hose was probably a true 50 feet before they did whatever they do to create the coils. Some of that length is then lost to the coils. I have read quite a few reviews of various coil-type hoses, made by different companies, and this seems to be the case with all of them. This is the trade-off for the no-kink feature.I cannot address the water pressure issue as I use the hose only to water plants. The pressure is more than sufficient. It seems "normal" (same as my old, cheap, crappy hose) to me.It really is a good, sturdy, well-made hose. If the length issue is taken into account, I think anyone should be happy with this hose. All things considered, I still give it 4 stars.

You know you're getting old when you start having thoughts like, "they don't make garden hoses today like they used to". Sadly, I would need some serious convincing this cranky feeling isn't true. I have a two-hose house, one front, one back, and it seems coiled hoses from Home Deplowe's last a year or two, tops. The metal connector fittings give way, showering you instead of your garden. The plastic tubing gives way, and allows a hose to water the side of your house without you even needing to be there. In short, cheap coiled hoses are ticking water bombs and the only thing saving them is their relative ease of storage, and even that becomes irrelevant when the hose becomes warped and distended instead of resting in a tight coil.So Water Right is aiming at some low-hanging fruit with its PCH-050-MG-6PKRS, a coil hose that has a longer and more complicated name than any of the Apollo space missions. And, refreshingly, it plucks that fruit and eats it, slowly. The PCH-050-MG-6PKRS boasts a very sturdy, robust design. You can feel the thick quality of the plastic (polyurethane!) and the bulk of the metal, which is brass covered with chrome. The hose is flexible and retains its shape; the fittings have not yet sprung leaks of any kind. I am happy to report approximately 100% of the water from the spigot passes through to the end of the hose. The trade-off, or course, is you need to drop $40-50 on this hose instead of $19.99 or less, but you get what you pay for, i.e., a hose that may last more than two years.FINAL WORD: I have used one of these for three plus months with stellar results, hence the five stars. Bonus points for apparently being made in the US. I will update this review accordingly when, and if, the PCH-050-MG-6PKRS fails. I'm cautiously optimistic that it won't.
