Perfecto para el control de servos serie. La funcionalidad y versatilidad que permite modificando el codigo del ESP32 es total. Lo he utilizado para manejar servos de la marca Yahboom que tenia y donde su controlador me limitaba a 4 servos maximo. Cuidado que para hacer esto he tenido que intercambiar los pines (masa y señal) con respecto a los servos de Waveshare e introducir el codigo adecuado en el ESP32. (El codigo que viene preinstalado funciona solo con los servos de Waveshare). Tambien a tener en cuenta es que la alimentacion a los servos es la misma que la de la fuente de alimentacion por lo que el voltaje tiene que estar en el rango que admitan los servos.

This is a very nice little board for me to manage my WaveShare serial servos.It is important to know that this board only works for WaveShare's serial servos. I have some WaveShare ST servos, and all of them work well with this board.The default SSID is "ESP32-DEV", and the default IP address of the website is 192.168.4.1. All of these are bog standard, I believe.However, do make sure you use Chrome/Chromium to connect to the web page of the board. This is important as FireFox does not work for this board. I have no idea why. For instance, when you increase the servo ID to be set, on Chrome/Chromium, the ID goes up one number correctly. On Firefox, it does not. The increment is almost random. Initially, I did use Firefox to set the servo ID, and I set it to 242.That is another thing you have to be careful about: this board only checks servos with ID up to 20. In other words, if your servo has an ID of over 20, this board will NOT detect it. The way I recovered from that was to download the program for the board itself, which is freely available on WaveShare's website, set up the Arduino IDE properly, changed the MAX_ID to 252 (the maximum WaveShare servos can have), and then flushed it to the board. It did work, but the discovery process took a while, as the board had to cycle from 0 to 252 to find the servo. After setting my servo to something under 20, I changed the MAX_ID to 20 again, and flushed back the code to the board.WaveShare's website has the correct and up to date instructions on how to set up the Arduino IDE to connect to this board.So, you can even program the board as well, using it like another ESP32 development board, I guess?Another thing is, you have to reset the board if you connect a servo after powering on the board. It does not detect a new connection automatically. In my opinion, there is no reason to in any case.

Ich durfte dieses Servo-Treiber Board von Waveshare testen.Die Besonderheit dieses Treibers ist, dass es seriell verbundene Servos ansteuert. An einem Roboterarm mit vielleicht 5 hintereinander liegenden Servos wird nun nur noch ein Kabel benötigt, welches durch die Servos geschlauft wird. Zuvor benötigte jeder Servo ein einzelnes Kabel.Dies führte zu einem erhöhten Platzverbrauch und Gewicht am Roboterarm einerseits und andererseits einem erhöhten Verbrauch an Steckplätzen am Mikrocontroller.Dank ESP-NOW kann das Programm auch per WLAN auf den Controller geladen werden. Die Verbindung per Kabel (USB C) ist nicht zwingend notwendig.Waveshare liefert kompatible serielle Servos. Alternative Hersteller gehen jedoch auch. Nur welchen Mehrwert liefern mir alternative Anbieter, wenn ich nicht weniger bezahle und die Implementierung nicht unbedingt so einfach funktioniert, wie mit den Servos von Waveshare.Besonders positiv finde ich, dass integrierte Display. Daten auf einem Display sind einfach immer besser, als blinkende LEDs.Was mich etwas stört, ist die Anbindung weiterer Sensoren, und die Kommunikation mit einem anderen (Master) Mikrocontroller.Sensoren lassen sich meines Wissenstands nach nicht anbinden.Die Kommunikation mit anderen Mikrocontrollern (die zB Sensoren dran haben) geht nur per WLAN, USB C und BLE. Hier muss meiner Meinung nach nachgebessert werden.Da ich die Servos stationär verbaut habe und mein Mikrocontroller sowieso im Netzwerk kommuniziert, ist dies für mich kein Problem. Aber bei mobilen Robotern sieht es anders aus.Preislich finde ich 24,99 Euro okay. Waveshare war nie der günstigste Anbieter. Auf der anderen Seite habe ich bis jetzt auch noch nie Probleme gehabt mit Produkten von Waveshare.Von mir gibt es hier 5 Sterne = sehr gut.Sorry, aber potentiell 253 Servos mit einem Kabel anzuschliessen ist schon ein Gamechanger.Ein ESP32 liefert noch viel mehr Optionen, so dass ich hoffe, dass zukünftig eine bessere Version auf den Markt kommt. Bis jetzt bin ich aber komplett zufrieden mit diesem Servo-Treiber.

J'ai utilisé cet ESP32 pour connecter ma borne de recharge pour voiture électrique à ma maison connectée (Home Assistant). Franchement, le board fonctionne très bien. La connectivité Wifi est en béton. La connection Bluetooth avec la borne est solide également.Bien content de cet ESP32.
