IT ARRIVED WITHOUT THE DIVERTER, AND THEREFORE THE PIN JUST LIFTS OUT. THIS PUT MY CONTRACTOR BEHIND EVEN MORE THAN HE ALREADY WAS. THIS IS THE THIRD ITEM THAT ARRIVED DEFECTIVE FOR THIS NEW BATHROOM, WHILE OTHER ITEMS WERE PERFECT AND FUNCTIONAL.THE CONDITION WHEN IT ARRIVED WAS GREAT, AND THE BOX WAS SOLID. IT WASN'T UNTIL THE CONTRACTOR TRIED TO INSTALL THE PARTS, THAT THE PARTS WERE MISSING OR DEFECTIVE.I WAS IGNORED BY WESTBRASS, EVEN AFTER I SENT PICTURES, AND EXPLAINED IN DETAIL, AMAZON WON'T HELP BECAUSE THE RETURN WINDOW CLOSED BEFORE THE CONTRACTOR COULD INSTALL.

I bought this because the spout with diverter that came with a very expensive big brand shower set caused some serious damage by leaking into the wall, because it was a slip-on type that just didn't secure or seal itself well. This was a great solution because you use threaded pipe, which is going to be far less prone to leaks than the other brand. I bought 3 different lengths of brass nipple and the first length I tried was the right one. You may end up with a smallish gap between the finished wall and the spout, simply because the threading might get tight within the next rotation. This is fine, as you're supposed to caulk it anyway. The end result looks great and visually appears to be the same finish and style as the very expensive original one. Also this product was about 1/4 the cost of buying the exact same thing from Home Depot.

This spicot is extremely nice and well made. This is the slide on type so installation is a breeze. No tephlon tape no glue no threads nothing. This slides right onto the PVC pipe sticking out from the wall and has an internal o ring and clamp that keeps it water tight sealed. No leaks at all. After you push it up to the wall, apply a thin bead of silicon around the entire faucet so it doesn't move around and so water won't get behind the faucet. Plus it makes it more sturdy and less movement around when you are pulling up and pushing down on the plunger. Without it, it will be whlobbly. Definitely recommend this. I've replaced all mine in my house now with these. I won't use the screw on ones ever again. Plus they are cheap on price. 19. Dollars. Can't beat it

Ok, so I know there are a few things to consider, so I I hope you use this as just part of your analyzation process. Everything went great on this. I actually had a plumber install it since they were doing other things already, but it works exactly as it should. We when with this basic model that DOES NOT include the tub plug because we also bought the lift and turn plug as was recommended by our plumber (less issues I guess). But the one issue we have had since putting this in is that the first second of water is a nice brown color every time. I assume its from this faucet, but it could be a few other things I am sure, I just cant imagine what.It does not hurt anything, but I do worry that the faucet may not last as long if it is infact rusting somewhere internally.Still a great value, super simple install from what I saw and I would still recommend it for the price, but figured you should know about the brown.Hope this helps
