¿Cómo reemplazar la batería?
Saca la llave y utiliza la punta del destornillador como herramienta para abrir la carcasa trasera y reemplaza la misma batería con cuidado. Puedes utilizar un paño limpio para limpiar la batería en caso de que existieran algunos chorros.

Poor quality in manufacture. It will not program to the car even though it is supposed to be for that vehicle. Bought a different brand. Will see if it works. Programming was tried by a professional automotive locksmith.

Ford was going to charge me $300 for the fob and programming. Took it to my local locksmith and got it done for $85

You’ll pay two prices for this Fob if you go to a Ford dealership. This is just like the one that I broke. Now here is a hint for anyone that has to buy a new Fob. Instead of taking it to a dealership to get it coded, take it to a locksmith. Many self employed locksmith’s have the codes for different Fobs and will code the Fob for half the price of a dealership.

Dealerships in my area wanted over $300 for this type of smart key. (2015 Ford Mustang GT) At under $50, this was almost a no brainer. There are caveats to these units though. They are not nearly as "Stout" as genuine Ford fobs and it's possible you may have to do some minor repairs before it will work properly. (Like I did) On mine, there were 2 issues. The batteries in the unit were almost dead, and the tiny metal tab that provides the positive battery connection to the board was loose (as in, not secured to the body of the fob). I opened it up when it first arrived to verify the battery's charge, and that's how I found the positive tab issue. I used a drop of UV resin on the body of the fob where it would attach, and cured it right into place. Replaced the batteries with new ones I already had and programmed it with the XTool D7. Perfect! There's only one real difference I've found with this vs the original I already had, and that's having to press the door lock button 3 times instead of two to lock both doors. Otherwise, it performs just like the original.
