Used 6 of these and they held the roof on our Farmstand in 60-70 mph winds.

Great hurricane ties at a great price. I bought these as a part of the hardware I needed to repair my carport. They arrived quickly and are of a good quality steel. They are painted, not powder coated, satin black and will accept a six penny nail or equivalent screw. I expect these to lock down my roof without any challenge during our next South Florida windstorm.

These are designed to keep your roof from flying off in a Tornado like you see in the movies, I added a bunch of these to the underside of an old deck and each bracket adds many pounds of strength. Once I put them everywhere I could tell the overall strength of the deck was a massive improvement. Make sure you get the Simpson strongtie screws that are designed for the brackets - the screws cost more than the brackets.

Not only a large quantity but powder coated black looks good and includes screws better than big box option

I was building a grilling shed and needed to attach the rafters. My local Lowe's was out of stock on the tie brackets so I bought them on Amazon. They came with the screws needed for attaching the ties which I liked better than using nails. Went on easy and the black color looks great since they are in view.
