Adapters — when you need them, you need them. The rugged, metal shell makes it fully shielded and each connector has a firm feel. Reliable and electrically quiet at a good price. Some XLR-F connectors are too thick for some boxes; not a problem here. If I need these again, I’ll buy more. Recommended!

I have one of these connectors on a TOA PM-660 push-to-talk paging mic ran into a TOA 900 Series paging amplifier and another on a DBX 286s microphone processor ran into a Yamaha MG06X mixing console via 1/4" cable. The sound coming through the DBX to the mixing console is nice and clear, but the one I'm using on the TOA paging mic into the paging amp has noticeable ground loop hum. When I hook the TOA mic directly into my mixing console as a test, there's no ground loop hum. There's also no ground loop hum coming through the paging amp if I use a mic wired directly to XLR. That leads me to believe it's this adapter causing the hum.As cheap as these were, I didn't expect too much. Most of them seem to work fine. With one dud in the package, I give them four stars.
