El mahjong japonés o riichi mahjong fue introducido en Japón en 1924 por un soldado llamado Saburo Hirayama. Actualmente es popular en Europa, Asia, América del Norte y del Sur. Este juego incluye 144 fichas, 4 bandejas, 4 dados, un juego de palos para apuestas, 4 fichas de puntos y 1 ficha de viento este.
Fichas de mahjong elegantes
Este juego tiene 144 fichas de melamina resistentes a los arañazos para una mayor durabilidad y resistencia. Las inscripciones están hechas con pintura resistente y colores vivos, para que sean fáciles de leer y no se borren al jugar una y otra vez.

El juego completo pesa 2,5 kg y se guarda y transporta en un estuche compacto con asa.

Le tessere sono molto belle e setose al tatto. Il feeling durante il gioco è molto piacevole. Il set è completo di 4 dadi da 6 (un poco piccolini e forse la componente meno pregiata del set), i bastoncini per i punti, e la tessera con inciso il Vento dell'Est su una faccia e del Sud sull'altra. Il set contiene anche un manuale in inglese che riassume le regole del gioco, scritto dalla European Mahjong Association. La custodia è in plastica nera finto-pelle (non comparabile con quelle in legno o lacca di set molto più costosi, ma comunque robusta e comoda da trasportare con la maniglia). I disegni sulle tessere sono a bassorilievo e di buona fattura, non presentano sbavature. Il retro delle tessere è uniforme e non presenta alcun difetto. Anche se più piccole di molti set, il peso, le dimensioni e la texture della tessera la rendono facilmente maneggevole. I colori a forte contrasto con lo sfondo nero rendono immediato il riconoscimento del disegno. E' molto piacevole giocarci.

Me encantó el Mahjong, el malétín en el que viene lo hace muy portátil y se ve que no se abre fácilmente, pero por si acaso lo transportaré con alguna bolsa extra. La calidad y tamaño de las piezas están muy bien detalladas y legibles, además algo que me gustó es que incluía instrucciones. Tiene alguno detallitos menores que no afecta para nada la jugabilidad ni el asombroso diseño que tiene este set, luce muy elegante.

For the cost this is a terrific set for anyone who is interested in playing Riichi Mahjong. It comes with everything you need to play a game (including the red dora tiles), and those items that are absolutely needed (tiles and point sticks) are very sturdy. The wind indicator will work as will the dice, and since they really don't undergo the handling the tiles and point sticks will you should have no problems with them lasting (they are easy enough to replace if something does happen).Some items to note:- The color green is not present. The bamboo and green dragon tiles are painted black; still looks very nice in my opinion.- The tiles do not have any English letters or numbers on them. While it is easy enough to tell the numbers of the dots and bams you will have to learn to identify the numbers, winds, and green dragon (since it is the same color as the winds) if you don't know them already.- The size of the tiles is considered Japanese small (25mm x 18mm x 16mm) by comparison a Japanese standard set is only slightly bigger (27mm x 20mm x 16mm).- The case is probably the most flimsy part of the whole set. I would not expect this to last very long, but if you are like me you don't want the set for the case.Overall I am very impressed with the set, and look forward to playing for years to come. I know you can get better sets out there, but you will pay a whole lot more.
