Solid, heavy duty and nice black finish. Hand Grips are nice also... Only things it needs is a swivel for attachment to cable and better packing to avoid the minor nicks it got from shipping. Well worth the 21 bucks.

This bar has been good for me so far. Used it today to do seated lat pulldowns with 200 lbs on the loading pin. The added rubber on the handle is helpful, even if only a couple of fingers are on the rubber, depending on your hand placement. At first I thought this maybe a 3 piece bar but it’s solid steel and great for lat pull downs.

This bar is SOLID feeling and the clip that came with the bar is top notch and something you would see in a professional gym as it has a double locking feature. The bar is a perfect width for me as I think wider bars are overkill. If you look at the research grip width doesn't make a difference in lat development; a wider grip just takes out some bicep activation and reduces your range of motion. This is a high quality bar. I've been lifting for over 50 years and am a former Certified Personal Trainer.
