So now I've used it a few times... so far it is an OK welding rig for home or hobby use.My first negative is when you release the trigger it keeps going until you pull it off the weld, like stick welding. "I'm still learning it" definitely not my Lincoln MIG... But it's a 220v model so more capable of welding heavier material. Since I don't want to drag out the tombstone Lincoln unit, I'm sure the power company would like that. It has added more capabilities to my welding equipment. Now to get a TIG setup and try that too. Later I may also get upgraded parts to make it better. The original cables and ground clamp is light duty.Definitely not the big names welder. I'm still needing to get a lot more use to give more information on it. I still need to learn more of it, but as of now. It's a 220 multi function welder, but I've only used the MIG function and learning it. I doubt a professional weldor would like or want it. But a home/ hobbyists on a budget it might be something for you.Hopefully I will get to use it a lot more and give more in my review later on this year. Have some sheet metal work to do.

I've only run 308L MIG wire through it so I can't speak to anything else, but it works very well on thin stainless. It does struggle a bit with 0.12" 304 stainless pipe, but it will stick them together with ok (not great) penetration. The "smart" settings are... ok, but you'll be much better off setting it up manually. It can run 0.023" wire with no modification, despite the description saying it only runs 0.030 and 0.035, just get the correct contact tip.Overall, if you're realistic with your expectations, it's great. If you want to do things like exhausts in stainless, it's a must buy. If you're doing things like manifolds, frames, or anything relatively thick, you'll want to pick up something with a bit more power behind it.

This is a great little welder. I bought it to replace my old Craftsman which died. I was pleasantly surprised with the package. It was sturdily packed and all the components included and wrapped in bags. Because so much was included it took a bit of time to sort out and set up, and I wish a small spool of flux core MIG wire cloud have been included. I ran some test MIG Gasless welds with no problems and successfully did a repair on a metal cafe chair leg with the stick weld. As I only have a 110v line at the moment I decided to see how well the welder could perform. I welded two old tractor lawnmower blades together with the stick and then put a new stick in and ran a continuous bead down the blade. I got almost to the end of the stick when it tripped the 20amp breaker in the wall panel. My conclusion is that for doing a lot of continuous welding you need a 220v power supply. For small jobbing welds around our acreage shop the 110v should be ok for now. Very happy with the performance of the welder, and even at 110v the welds are extremely strong. Very happy with the YesWelder 160

This welder was a real surprise. Small profile, lightweight, controllable and powerful - it is an excellent choice for the hobbyist, home mechanic, or light to medium duty industrial applications.I have been MIG welding for over 20 years, and I found this machine was easy to set up, and produced very good results. NOTE: I use this welder with 75/25% gas mix and 0.030" plain steel wire, and it provides a smooth bead with very little spatter, and good penetration.Using gas will require a regulator/flow control. Yeswelder sells a decent unit for about $40 cdn.https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B089PTVLL8The whip (the MIG gun cable) is relatively short - about 5 feet long. But there is an easy solution to this: A small welding cart that carries the welder, the gas bottle, and related accessories. Just wheel up to the job, plug in, and you're ready to go.I would recommend this welder for any serious professional who is looking for an economical machine with good results.
