Alright, so I picked up the YIKESHU RC Rock Crawler 1/10 Willys Jeep mostly out of curiosity, and I’ve gotta say—I’m impressed with what you get for the price. It’s not perfect, but for an RTR under $60, this little rig punches above its weight.First off, the scale realism is what sold me. This thing looks like a proper 1942 Willys. The military detailing is spot on steering wheel linkage, working headlights, turn signals, even a spotlight. And yes, the steering wheel actually turns when the wheels do, which is a cool touch.Performance wise, it’s definitely a trail truck, not a speed demon. The 280 motor has good torque, and it tackled on gravel piles pretty decently. The proportional throttle and steering give you decent control, and the 4WD system helps it claw over moderate obstacles. Suspension is simple, plastic leaf springs, but it gets the job done. A bit bouncy, so don’t expect buttery smooth onboard footage, but honestly, it’s part of the charm.Battery life is better than expected. I got around 30 minutes with mixed driving and could probably stretch it with gentler runs. Battery lives under the hood, which is cool, and there’s room to fit a slightly bigger pack if you’re into modding. Now, yes, it’s mostly plastic. Even the leaf springs. So don’t expect Axial or Traxxas durability or performance. replacement parts aren’t easy to find. But if you’re just using it for scale runs, it holds up. I’ve rolled mine a few times, and it still looks good.Couple more quick pros:• All-terrain tires have decent grip and no weird chemical smell.• Headlights, taillights, and signals all work (the blinking turn signals are a love-it-or-hate-it thing—I’m neutral).• Upgradeable! There’s room for modding, and you can even add a winch and canopy if yours didn’t come with one.A few cons to keep in mind:Terrible steering angle• The remote is basic, but it works fine. No frills.• Lag in response—not bad, but not snappy enough for comp use.• Plastic suspension won’t survive serious abuse.• Instructions are kinda barebones, so new users might have to wing it a bit.Overall, if you’re looking for a budget friendly RC Jeep with great scale detail and toy grade performance out of the box, this is a great pick. It’s not for hardcore trail runs or big jumps, but for cruising around the yard, light crawling, or just something fun to tinker with, it delivers.4 out of 5 stars from me. Definitely recommend it as a first trail truck or for anyone who appreciates scale realism without spending a fortune

This little jeep is true to its 1/10 scale. I measured it against the specifications of a 1942 Willy's Jeep and the measurements were spot on. This rig is mostly plastic, but it does have a metal frame and metal hood hinges. There is enough room under the hood to upgrade to a higher capacity battery, if carefully measured. The battery it comes with does pretty well though, I ran the Jeep for over thirty minutes at varying speeds and know the battery will last at least that long. The Jeep can be disassembled, for those of us that like to upgrade and tinker. And this Jeep is highly upgradeable. It has a simple suspension, resting on leaf springs and shocks (the shocks are probably fake, but are removeable). The Jeep is a little bouncy, and if a camera were mounted to it I doubt the video would be smooth. This Jeep really shines as a crawler. I was able to crawl up my massive gravel pile better than my other crawlers costing three times the price with fancy suspension systems. The ground clearance is of this Jeep is only about 1", and the center of gravity is low, which makes for a fairly stable crawler. The detail of this Jeep is very good and authentic. The tires are slightly soft for a good grip and they haven't any of that annoying rubber smell to them. This crawler would be an excellent first for anyone interested in the hobby, especially at this price point. The remote that comes with the kit is small enough to operate one handed without having to put a steering trigger on it. There are headlights, taillights, turn signals, and a switchable spotlight. Overall, the Jeep is pretty tough, I've rolled it a few times without marking it up. This is an excellent product for an excellent price.

I recently purchased the YIKESHU RC Rock Crawler, and I have to say, it’s a solid and enjoyable RC truck that provides a lot of fun right out of the box. The 1/10 scale gives it a good balance between size and maneuverability, and the off-road capabilities really stand out. I’ve taken it over rocks, dirt, and even some rough terrain, and it handled it all with ease.Pros:Build Quality: The military-inspired design looks great, and the truck feels sturdy and durable. The plastic body and metal parts are well-constructed and hold up well against bumps and scrapes.Off-Road Performance: The 4x4 drive system is impressive, providing great traction and power. Whether you're crawling over rocks or driving through mud, the truck maintains a solid grip.Range and Control: The 2.4 GHz remote control provides smooth, responsive handling with no issues, even when multiple people are using their RC vehicles nearby.Fun Factor: This truck is just fun to drive. It’s easy enough for beginners but still engaging for more experienced hobbyists. The truck is fast, agile, and handles well across various surfaces.Cons:Battery Life: The battery life is decent but not spectacular. After about 20-30 minutes of continuous use, you’ll need to recharge it. It would be great if it lasted a little longer.Instructions: The setup instructions could be a bit more detailed, especially for first-time RC users. Luckily, it’s not too difficult to figure out once you get the hang of it.Speed: While the truck has a decent top speed, I would have liked a little more power, especially for smoother terrain or high-speed runs. It’s more of a crawler than a fast truck.Overall, this RC rock crawler is a great choice for anyone looking for an affordable, high-quality off-road vehicle. It’s especially fun for outdoor use, and its durability means you don’t have to worry about it breaking down on rough terrain. Perfect for both newcomers and experienced hobbyists looking for a reliable and fun RC vehicle. Would definitely recommend!
