This thing will keep any animal you want penned in or kept out lol. We use it to contain pigs in the perimeter of a poly braided line and run a separate line to keep wild pigs out of the banana patch. both lines work well and keep the pigs where they belong despite there being plenty of grass etc touching the line. A solid wire line instead of the poly braided would make an even more effective deterrent for larger animals. Even if you have never used electric fencing, this is very easy to set up and use with success. Highly recommend

Had a problem with deer eating the leaves off my blackberry bushes. Ran the wire, hooked this thing up, put a trail camera on the fence. Hilarious. that first deer must have jumped 10 feet up and backwards. Haven't had a problem since.

It's a nice small box. Powerful snap! I accidentally dropped the tester line and touched my finger when I auto reacted to grab it. Wow! The joint throbbed for a few hours after hahaha. I allowed a friend to pasture his horse in with mine. My horses never touched the fence after my very very old energizer quit working a few years back. I'm sure my guys told him the fence bites but after a few weeks, to my horror, this horse showed them the beauty of reaching for greener grass. Unfortunately my untouched fence was being brutally trashed. I guarantee the second he screamed, they ALL said I told you so. A feeling of sheer delight washed over me as that 1400lbs fence wrecker got taught a lesson in manners.

This is a great fencer. We use it for horses and it works very well even for those who can be hard on a fence
