Compre este reel para complementar mi caja de pesca y resulto ser de muy buena calidad es bastante grande y pesado pero no es problema alguno ya que se maneja muy bien

I absolutely love this reel. I read most of the other reviews and decided to purchase this reel even with the complaints of how heavy it is. I don't regret it at all!! Yes, it is a little heavy. I send out my bait and set it in the rod holder, so I don't care how much it weighs. Even if I did, it's not that heavy. Just heavier than my other reels is all.I cannot believe how amazingly well this reel casts. First time I used it I overcasted by probably 30-40 feet! The action is unbelievably smooth. Drag is perfect. The gearing is lower so I can have an easier time reeling in the big cats I'm after.I literally love everything about this reel.

I own a bunch of Zebco 808, saltwater reels, which I picked up as combos at Academy Sports so I could take the whole clan fishing if the occasion should arise. Recently, my wife went on an overnighter trip to the Baton Rouge area and went to Bass Pro Shops with her second eldest son and his wife. She brought me another 808 to replace the one I had given to a friend of mine for Christmas when he finally showed a smidgen of interest in going fishing.My son-in-law started talking about the 888, confusing it with the 808. This made me curious so I ordered the 888. It seems rather impressive and is slightly heavier than the 808 and the 808 Magnum. I have to assume the 888 is a saltwater reel since it would be rather odd to make such a massive spincast reel for most gresh water fishing.It casts a lightweight, yellow, plastic practice plug to a great distance when coupled to a saltwater pole. I imagine it would make a two ounce swinker vanish over the horizon so, if it does hold up, it will be a great investment. If anyone has any further info on the 888 or on the differences between the 808 and the 808 Magnum, other than the obvious ones, I would appreciate the infor.This does some to be a good reel. Only time will tell, of course, but the 808's have held up well. The also made all the people with the regular spinning equipment star at my wife and I because of the cast distances we were achieving.As it stand, I give this reel five stars and would recommend it. I will do further tests against the 808's when I go out. The 808 reels themselves seem to have evolved. The one I gave away was nice, and worked well but had a plastic nose cone. I do not see this variant on the market anymore but I prefer metal anyway.
