It’s a nice quality vest. I have worn it about 10 times now. It did have a “new smell” but not as bad as other reviews make it seem. I find it comfortable to wear and it doesn’t dig in anywhere

I love this vest. It fits well, not bulky and I can wear it under my coat for my winter walks.I am going to buy a lighter one for my strength training workouts.

It’s a good vest to start off with and being able to add weight packets as you build muscle and strengthen.Only gripe, is the chemical/industrial smell that I can’t seem to get rid off. Leaving it outside in cold air -1°c for a week didn’t even do it. Not sure how to get rid of smell, hoping it wears off over time.

I am a 160lb woman who is interested in adding to my walks/hikes/workouts for bone health and cardiovascular endurance. I have lifted heavy for years, and move many miles on foot. I like to backpack but hate loading up my hiking pack for weighted walks. I was looking for a vest that would not chafe my arms as they swing against my ribcage, and that had enough width at the shoulders to not cut/dig in. Also, 10% of my body weight(as advised for beginner women to ruck with) was not enough for me at my current fitness level so I wanted a bit heavier and the ability to adjust up is just a bonus! I have used this on my treadmill 3-4 times a week since getting it for 2 miles at a time on a 10 incline. It is a good way to get working just a bit harder. Once the ice is off the roads in the spring it will come along for a lot of my outdoor walks and short hikes. Right now outside is mostly snowshoeing for me given our winter conditions. The vest had a lot of adjustability for someone larger than me. I am 160lbs, not too busty, 5’7”, wide shoulders for a woman. Someone smaller than me may want to concider a different product. I got the 20lb vest and it has small weights in 2lb increments to make it up to 32lbs.

It does what it is supposed to do. I started off today with the vest and a one-pound weight (in the front) and my two-mile time was the same as without the vest. Tomorrow I'll add a one-pound weight in the back and see how that does. It's comfortable, the shoulder straps don't dig in, it balances well, and the side straps are fairly-easily adjustable. My only caveat is that the front pocket is not deep enough for my phone in its case. It fits, but I can't close it with the velcro.Oh, yeah, it does smell, but it's not horrible.
