Item arrived with the plastic parts both ends warped and damaged. It's asking for a fire to happen if I were to use it in that state. 24 pin is warped and broken on the right side whilst the 14 pin has its latch broken as well as the plastic behind the latch broken too so it is unusable and I will not risk fire for this bad product.

Like a lot of the reviewers here, I was cautious about using this adapter cable, since it’s going from 24 pins to 14 pins. I was worried it wouldn’t supply enough power and that it could cause problems. The short version is “stop worrying and order it because it works perfectly!” 👍🏻I have a Lenovo motherboard and power supply and upgraded the GPU. The system was pulling too much power for the supply to handle, so I wanted to upgrade to a 500w supply, but since the motherboard only has a 14 pin connector and the power supply had a 24 pin, I needed this solution. My concern was that fewer pins was not going to supply enough power to the motherboard, but once I paid more attention to the design, I realized how silly this worry was.You see, Lenovo routes almost ALL the power through those 14 pins and through the motherboard. The 14 pin goes to the motherboard and then all of the other components, hard drives, GPU, disc drives all have to run FROM the motherboards output power connectors. With the bed PSU, the only thing running on the 14 pins is the mobo itself, since I now have separate connectors for all the other components STRAIGHT from the PSU, as it should be.So actually, my components are all likely getting MORE power, and more stable power, and the mobo is actually needing less power running through it, likely causing less strain on the motherboard as well.I have noticed a LOT more stability and less heat from my setup now, and I think separating the power for components is the main reason. Also, having the separate power connector for the GPU obviously makes a huge difference.Overall, if you have a 14-pin connector for your motherboard, this is a GREAT solution and I highly recommend it.

Needed a 14Pin Motherboard cable as I case swapped a Lenovo Thinkcentre as well as adding a new PSU for my PCIE video card. This allowed my Corsair PSU to work in the new case!

I bought a refurbished Lenovo ThinkCentre M83 Tower in 2021. It came with a Huntkey HK380-16FP Power Supply with a 14-pins Motherboard connector and a 4-pins CPU connector. Since I want to add a graphic card that requires power, I had to change the PSU (AresGame 500W, standard PSU). Before plugging this adapter in the motherboard, I used my multimeter to check all the pin voltages. It's a perfect match. It's with great confidence that I plugged everything and flipped the switch on. Working great so far.

The original power supply on the Lenovo E73 starts to fail. I can smell bad burning smell plastic. Just do not want to wait for the PS to fry your entire motherboard + CPU.It is a pity that Lenovo does not use regular power supply. So we either have to get rid of the PC, or to get another Lenovo power supply. So a adaptor cable with a standard power supply is acceptable. This cable does the job well. The cable is braided and that is very good. The length is just perfect. This is just an one time purchase since we won't need such cable again. It is a good item and good quality.
