I bought these because we have a two year old son and hes wild so we wanted to make sure all dressers were mounted. This works as described, comes with very clear instructions and even comes with dry wall anchors so it its not in a stud it is still secure. They feel sturdy and were a fair price for what you get.

The instructions say "Easy and Practical" and that really does sum it up. When the littlest started pulling up on furniture and walking holding onto furniture I was worried about him pulling anything over on himself. He would yank on things so hard. Such a small little product takes the risk out and I fell so much safer with him grabbing onto things. This is so easy to install, It's a bracket on the wall and the item you want to secure and a cord looped through the two. Easy! I haven't been able to pull anything over and I tried to be sure he couldn't.

I live in LA where earthquake preparedness is necessary. The kit contains most things that are needed for installation. I used 1/4" drill for the anchor pilot hole. The hooks were easy to install and will help keep my bookshelf from falling over completely in the event of an earthquake. I like these better than the velcro or nylon straps, as I think they'll last longer.

My daughter and my 14 month old granddaughter recently moved back in to our home. We bought toy organizers and dressers and such for them. Most furniture for toddlers will come with wall straps, as we all know they will try to climb it eventually. We all also know that a lot of companies will try to cut costs by using the cheapest materials they can get away with, so those wall straps were cheap plastic mounts and glorified zip ties. They didn't provide the peace of mind that they should have.So I found these wall straps. These are metal mounting brackets and a braided metal cables that screw closed. The cables can even be joined together to form a longer cable if needed. The braided metal straps give me confidence that my granddaughter isn't going to pull the furniture down on top of herself. The only problem now is that she actually will be able to climb the stuff now because it is so well secured to the wall. Hopefully so grows out of it soon.

Furniture Anchors: Handy devices to prevent furniture from tipping over 1) during an earthquake, 2) from too many drawers being pulled out or 3) from children climbing on the furniture. There may be times I can't get my fingers between the wall and the back of the furniture to attach the wire cable. In those cases I connect two wire cables together to make a longer cable. The cables screw together. For maximum holding power 1) make sure the wall bracket screws go into wall studs and 2) make sure the furniture bracket screws go into a solid location on the furniture (avoid the thin backing that lots of furniture has).
