I ordered this pen for my wife, who has not only had a lifelong love for elegant and distinctive pens, but uses one on a regular basis for the journaling and creative writing that she does in longhand. Aside from the elegant look of this high quality brass pen, my wife loves how smoothly it moves across the paper; and, for someone who writes as quickly as my wife, this is an important feature not found among all pens. In addition, aside from being offered at a very reasonable price, this is a very well crafted writing instrument which feels surprisingly comfortable to use for any task requiring paper and ink. Although I am not in the legal or banking world, I have no doubt that the gold plated gleam of the pen would impress almost anyone in those two professions. In this regard, just as a heads up, the only downside that I see for such a sleek writing tool is that it is bound to cause a bit of envy among friends, colleagues, and acquaintances.In any event, I would definitely recommend this magnificent looking pen for both business and personal use.

Pen nerd here. I love a good pen and this fits the bill! Whether I keep it or use it as a gift is a whole other story! I love keeping these around as a gift, but this pen feels great to hold and writes flawlessly. The balance on it is near perfect and it looks very rich. The case is a bit over the top, but it makes it seem like a more expensive writing tool.

The Beiluner gel pen is a nice, all-around pen with the flair of being an expensive writing tool. The pen boasts a wide, red base with gold trim. However, the pen is lighter and doesn't carry the weight of typical metal case built pens with this appearance. I'm a fan of Zebra's Sarasa Grand line of metal pens which are thinner and definitely have more weight. This pen is larger in size, but much lighter. The gel is pen is writing about 0.7mm (I personally prefer .5mm), but the good news is that you can switch the ink out with a Pilot G2 refill of your choice.

BEILUNER turns out to be a pretty reliable pen brand. They use the same manufacturer as some similar brands, so it might be worth shopping around a bit if this pen isn't on sale (its a little expensive for what it is), but I don't have any complaints. Its a solid pen. It looks nice. It feels good to write with. I'm happy.
