While I collect Rider Waite Smith-based Tarot decks, I think Tarot De Marseille decks are beautiful with their Renaissance imagery. And, I wanted a Marseille deck. This deck is a real find! The colors are gorgeous as is the flower design on the card backs. The price of this deck is at least 50% lower (and sometimes 60-70% lower) than other Marseille decks I saw.Just so you know, the Marseille Tarot is different than the Rider Waite Smith Tarot. For Marseille, the Ace through 10 cards (pips) don't have images to help interpret the cards. There are just symbols for the card number (such as five cups for the Five of Cups, or Coupe). This is different than Rider Waite Smith Tarot decks, where every card, whether Major arcana or Minor arcana (Ace through King) usually has an image to help with card interpretation.For a beginner to Tarot, it may be more difficult to interpret the Aces through 10s with a Marseille deck.Not to worry, this seller has a guidebook available on Instagram to help with interpreting the cards. I don't have an Instagram account and for some reason couldn't create one. I messaged the seller on this website and they quickly replied with a PDF of the guidebook for me! I so appreciate the rapid and helpful response. The guidebook includes lots of keywords for every card as well as suggested card spreads, or layouts.This Marseille deck is an excellent option if you're new to Tarot, or read cards with Tarot of Marseille, and want a very pretty deck at an amazing price!

This is a very affordable and very pretty deck. Anyone who's just trying to figure out if TDM is for them or not, should try this out. Remember it's $10 so the cards aren't at the same quality as others you'd spend more on but it's a great deal. I love the sunflower design on the back. It's dark in color so if you prefer lighter colors, keep that in mind. Easy to shuffle, has good details, but be very careful with liquids or anything that can stain. If you don't want to compromise a lot of your money and then figuring out TDM isn't your style, this is a great starter.

I like the deck as it is a close replica of one of the original decks in Europe. However, the minor arcana is just numbered wands, pentacles etc. no picture for menonic aids. . And the labels are in French. Le Mat etc. so you need to know the cars very well before using the cards.

I appreciate a tarot deck that is affordable to most people. It is most definitely worth $10. I wouldn't pay more for it, but it's definitely worth $10.It's a great size for travel. The backs are gorgeous! It's inspired by the Burdel which is a beloved deck. The corners are rounded. (I personally prefer a tighter, smaller rounded corner, but it's better than a sharp corner with the laminate.) The colors are great!So what are my complaints?It's not a good riffle shuffler, probably due to the lamination; the typeface is a bit elaborate and not appropriate to the deck; there's an attempt at modulation which might annoy purists. The modulation doesn't bother me personally.Overall, I like this deck, and it's definitely worth $10 USD.I have not used the QR Code for the booklet, so I can't speak on the quality of the booklet, but if you know how to read TdM you don't need it. I don't trust QR Codes.
