What a value! Arrived quickly. Premium style packaging was a nice touch. Thick hard plastic with metal base and nice rubber tread. Being plastic, time will tell about durability, but it doesn’t feel flimsy. It’s small footprint makes this one of the coolest looking pedals on my board and it fits! I have a CryBaby which is cumbersome. For that reason I normally don’t keep a wah on my board, and so it became something I used less and less. With the Vowel, I can keep it there all the time. Added function of a volume pedal makes it all the better, in fact I have an Ernie Ball VP Jr and the same story applies. As a volume pedal, the Vowel doesn’t have the range of a premium pedal but it’s still fine. As a wah, it is a wild man of a pedal! Great with clean tones, great with dirty tones and all sorts of cocked wah sounds as well. I like it just as much as the CryBaby. Takes a bit to get used to the smaller feel, but not long. Switching is smooth - never unintentional, always when you want to. This one’s a lot of fun, and dig that price!

I don't write a lot of reviews, but I wanted to for this one. This pedal was packed great and I think it works incredible for what I need it for. The 2 in 1 feature is awesome. The reason I bought this pedal was to save some room on my pedal board and to be light weight for when I'm moving my board from the house to gigs, practice, etc.... I currently use a dunlap sw-95 slash wah, but it takes up a ton of room. I am extremely happy with the tones I'm getting with this little pedal. It is made out of plastic, but seems to be built solid and sturdy. Its only powered by a DC9V, but I never use batteries anyways.I really like how the pedal switches from Wah to Volume. I was expecting a button to press on the side, which I think is a pain. My Dunlop wah has a button on the side to switch from clean to distortion, but I never use it since its hard to get to when playing live. But for this, you simply press on the pedal with your foot when its in the down position, and it switches back and forth easily. You have to push firm which is great so you don't switch from wah to volume accidently. The lights are also very helpful to see where you left off at. When you're using the Wah feature, the lights will be red, then green for the volume feature. If you're looking for an inexpensive space saver on your board or a great alternative to a more expensive pedal, I highly highly recommend this pedal.

Hello my fellow musicians. I’m writing today about the Donner 2 in 1 mini volume/wha (Vowel) Let me start off by telling you what it is I like to play. I mostly play Heavy Doom/stoner rock and play in C# standard. I have never owned or had any prior experience with a wha pedal before this. I bought this little guy because of that fact. I didn’t want to spend the money on an expensive pedal since I wasn’t sure if it would be a pedal that I would like, or be all that into. So to avoid having a $100 plus pedal sitting around collecting dust, I thought it wouldn’t be a bad idea to try this one out first to test the waters so to speak. And it turns out I LOVE IT! I have no idea how I’ve went this long without owning a wha pedal. This for being an inexpensive pedal is pretty darn good. I really have no complaints about it. The pedal works smoothly. No loud clicks or pops when using the switch. The wha might not have the vocal range as some of the name brands but I’d say it’s worth a go, especially if you are a budget player and or just want to see if you like using such an effect. Go ahead and grab one. I feel that this pedal has opened up a whole new door for me as a player. On a side note I have 2 other Donner pedals as well and so far I’m happy with all of them. Not a bad route to go if you aren’t looking to spend a bunch of money on pedals. I also have some very expensive name brand pedals that I use so my experience with pedals are not just limited to one thing. Donner makes a good pedal and that’s that.

There were three things that drew me to the pedal: price, size, and the additional feature of having a wah with a volume.I've finally used this pedal live and wanted to leave a review because it worked perfectly. Overall the pedal feels fairly sturdy. I'm mainly using this as a volume pedal in my live rig but I love having the wah on the board for at-home use. It really is a great size. The pedal resistance is a bit light but in a live setting, you really just adapt to it and it's not even noticeable.I will say that if you want a pedal with an even sweep (such as a VP Jr.) than this may not be the pedal for you. Don't get me wrong, you can dial in all volume levels that you'd need, it's just very touch sensitive in the lower part of the volume range. This was a non-issue for me because I typically use the volume to pull back just a little bit, or boost just a little bit depending on where I'm sitting in the mix. It was perfect for that! Most of the sweep is from about 60% to 100% volume (in my estimation) and in a live situation, it was phenomenal. Also, the wah sounds great - typical wah sound...one minor issue I had during practice is that I accidentally kicked it into wah during practice; it wasn't a huge issue but I am going to make something that will keep this from happening (something I can remove).I highly recommend this for people looking for board space and those who are on a budget. I actually chose this pedal over a mini Dunlop and I have no regrets.
