Connector probably works with older models Mercedes, but is easily modifiable (cut-out the extra plastic and easily secured with pigtail to my connector. Worked like a charm to bypass the faulty XM Satellite Radio receiver and get my sound working again! Thank you for a really great, inexpensive solution to a HUGE design problem with Mercedes

The MMI System in my car would not stay on. I placed these optic loops on the radio amplifier in the trunk and the system came back on line. So now I know the radio amplifier needs to be replaced and I have all my other functions working till then.

My 2008 Mercedes Benz "Command" center Quit one day !!! Oh yeah, it just did Not come on at all. No Radio, No CD Player(s), Nothing !!! So I thought I will just disconnect the Car Battery for a while (A Couple of Hours) and "Maybe" it will work again ??? NO such luck !!! The best place to "RUN" to is You-Tube and Yes there it was !!! The answer in a Video on the Failure of the Mercedes "Command Center" as they call it. As it turned out with my Car, the navigation DVD player stopped working and YES, LO and Behold, the Super Intelligent Mercedes People designed this system to Completely fail (Shut Down) whenever one of the Sub-components, Located in Different areas of the Car fails !!!! This Fiber Optic "By-Pass" "Loop" did the trick when I suspected that My ("ANCIENT SCHOOL") Technology Navigation "Device" the DVD Player in the Trunk Area stopped working and I just used the one By-Pass loop, plugged it in and it "Returned" All other things right away, Like Radio, and my Car CD Player(s), etc,etc !!! Thank you Amazon and your Suppliers for Great Products, Great Prices and Super Great Shipping, Always !!! I am a Mechanic of Days Long Gone By !!! So many times, I rely on the Many You-Tube Repair Videos that one can Look up and Learn from them on the Internet !!!My Car is a, 2008 Mercedes Benz E-350, 4-Matic Sport Edition !!!
