Okay, I’m in an area where I know some important things but can’t really speak to other important aspects.1. If you look at the photo you’ll see that this MRBF, top in the photo, has the same body as the name brand I usually use. However, the actual fuse part is significantly undersized. This makes me wonder if this won’t blow under normal use and be a pain.2. I can’t find an AIC (amperage interrupt capacity) rated value. This is really important since if an issue happens with the batteries the amp surge could be huge you definitely don’t want this to fuse closed and not protect as it should. Lack of info combined with what feels like an undersized fuse makes me worried about the quality.Net, for a very small battery back this MAY be okay. But given the few dollars in price between these and a recognized brand name version, I’d pay the extra amount for the piece of mind.

I had picked up a battery terminal fuse and holder for my solar-charged LiFePO4 battery bank and wound up blowing the fuse because it was not the right amperage. (I'm still learning about all this solar stuff.) But I really like how easy it is to install these fuses and being able to see very clearly what you're doing. I picked up a number of different amperages of these MRBFs from this company to have on hand for various scenarios that I am fusing now and in the future. These seem well made and are certainly easier to work with than most battery fusing solutions out there. Marine rated means they can handle a wet environment, which in my case is important even though I'm not using them on a boat.

This review is for the Scelrin brand terminal fuse.Physically, these are the same dimensions of the Blue Sea Systems and South Bend Components fuses. They fit perfectly on the single and dual M8 terminal fuse blocks from both companies.Looking at the fuse element itself, the Scelrin brand fuse looks like a glob of solder rather than a strip of metal. Since I am unfamiliar with the company, I plan on using these as backup fuses and use name brand fuses as my primaries.

I have used these fuses for 20 years now and haven't burned one yet. I guess that says it all when you have a100% success rate in every electric install..

Hopefully I’ll never need to use this but I have it just in case. They fit the same as the ones I have now. The only difference is the fuse link doesn’t look like a one piece metal bar. Almost like it was soldered together. But it does work. I only installed for testing purposes and removed it after I confirmed it works. The case and everything else look similar to the one I got at the local boating shop.
