I had an older battery operated soldering iron, with a pencil point, that was just not adequate for most applications. This one takes longer to get to temperature, but once it's there it will tackle most jobs. One feature I really appreciate is the fact that when you turn it ON, it's stays ON until you shut it OFF. That way you won't have to press a button to make it work, and hold it down until you finish the job. Very satisfied with it, especially now I have two batteries for it.

Bought it for soldering jump rings. No cord to drag around my cluttered bench. Gets up to heat in about a minute. Sits upright by itself. I have also used it for electronics and wires. Probably not enough power for stained glass work but for a cordlesss, it’s impressive. Charges pretty quick too.

Product Genisis cordless soldering iron did not work representative was curtious and said a few times that they will send a replacement and assured me that I will not have to pay postage for the return of the product, however when I took my package to Canada Post they said that every Amazon customer has to pay return postage and I was no exception so for a $44.59 product I stupidly paid $16.20.I chatted with an Amazon representative a few moments later, they refunded my postage and gave me an Amazon valued customer coupon towards my next purchase so everything turned out ok after all so beware anyways about having to pay postage ahead of time.

Perfecto para soldar en lugares sin acceso a corriente eléctrica, funciona muy bien.
